It's one thing to keep running races because you love it, and other to strategically represent yourself as being at the highest level to command a fee, knowing full well you're not at that level but doing it anyway, so you can fuel your foundation. It might be well intentioned, but at the cost of some professional integrity.
well he's not raking in the dough for performance you think the customers he charge is expecting that i would have sold them a bridge long ago. he's basically now a brand that doesnt need to perform do whatever he wants, never admit any fault and live a comfortable life doing it. if you could strategize yourself into that kind of situation i would call you smart. although its difficult for me to do after reading some of his training ideas.
why do you judge him by his performance at the la marathon anyways? It is a shitty venue by which to judge anyone, anyways. By that I mean lets see how he does in some cool races like if he decides to do the flora London marathon again or maybe the Berlin marathon where people always do good there.

This bodes well. I suspect Ryan's going to be finishing some marathons.

It's just a guess. I assume he makes a lot from appearance fee money into 6 figures total. What do you think he makes?
Elite Racing and/or Competitor Group has him on a 2nd five year contract to race two 1/2 'thons per year (tied to that RnR crap), which is why he ran PF Chang 1/2 in January.
What other race has he run in 2015?
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Move over Mark Coogan, Rojo and John Kellogg share their 3 favorite mile workouts
Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
Red Bull (who sponsors Mondo) calls Mondo the pole vaulting Usain Bolt. Is that a fair comparison?
