No real surprises in the men's except Sam Penzenstadler lost the pace early and I expected Denault to be in there.
Denault led most of his heat. Maybe team tacticsfrom Villanova to try to make sure Ches ccouldn't just jog/kick.

Denault led heat one for 1200+, Soratos wire to wire heat 2.
I believe Denault was making sure it wasn;t a 4:05 sit late and kick race, he closed in 1:58

Nice.
This is why ALL prelims should be only by time, and not placings.
Fortunately it's already come out this way for several events.
Not exactly sure how this thread is "super hot on letsrun", seems pretty dead to me.
Here's an actual live thread, best alternative for those of us without access to the broadcast:
Cristian Soratos post-race interview

White girls wins a 60m heat. Shocker...from Oregon.
Jake Hurysz post-race
Olicia Williams from Baylor is a bit of an 800 meter cutie.
The form of the larger VA Tech runner in 2nd 800 heat must have made AlSal's head explode. Hanna Green...very fast, not a fluid runner.
You can see lap by lap splits for everyone at flash results by clicking on Heat 1, Heat 2 etc.

Beautiful, and beautiful form.
How about that false start in the mens 800.
Men's PV competition is SICK right now. Two guys jumping at collegiate record.

Bro was high fiving everyone heading to the startlline. Like the fans on the railings. His head wasn't in the right place.
Meet is behind schedule. 200s still going. WTF?

I was thinking the same thing. Who the hell high fives like 4 people before a race? Happy to be there syndrome. Doesn't shock me at all that it was a lesser known school he was from. On that note the guy from monmouth is the real deal. Took it seriously and ran really well.

How does one false start in an eight? It almost seems like you have to try to do that.
