What has your friend run in a recent track mile?
4:20 a while ago, but he has been doing a lot of workouts recently.

This thread is useless without pics.
Obvious troll, but a 2.54/10 for the effort.

I literally have no idea what you are trying to say.
Essentially that moderately-hard running on an indoor track (as slow as threshold pace) is harder on the IT bands than very-hard running on an outdoor track (800 - mile pace) simply because the radius of the turns on an indoor track is half that of the outdoor track's turns.
4:13 TMill mile converts to 24 low 8k.
scratch that, high 23 8k.
If you're looking to convert to shorter distances, 4:13 on a treadmill converts to a 1:56 split in an indoor 4x8. From the structure of the treadmill though, I doubt your friend can break 2 flat in an open 800
Let me get this straight...does your "friend" think he's a REAL man or some shit? Here's some cold, hard TRUTH for ya:
4:13 doesn't even put you in the top 10 for D3, so you can't even run with the babies.
4:13 is slower than the WOMEN'S mile WR...would you brag about almost being able to beat any woman in the world? Yeah, didn't think so.
Anyone with a decent-sized pair of stones knows that the real men run the 800, not the mile like those SCRAWNY distance dweebs.
Your boy should run in a legit competition (real men call this a RACE) on the 400-meter OVAL OF FIRE and see if he's worthy of the title of MAN. Bump this thread with an update when the cherry pops, I'll be waiting.

I don't think so pal. Even if it was a banked track, I'd convert that 4x8 time to a 2:08, maybe 2:07.9 if he's lucky.

Scrawny distance dweebs?!?! Next to esports like LOL or CS:GO, distance running is one of the most physical competitions out there! Don't believe me? Just watch my friend in red get whomped on mid-race by a distance runner in the 3200m. You be the judge @ 4:54 mister:

A sterling example of running a race on pure hate.

I think if he were on a treadmill, he might have gotten DQed.
I think I left a blue swix jacket in this thread? Has anybody seen it?

Ask Jamie Norton, I heard he's a 4:06 miler.
did he really run a 4:06 mile?
I'd check in the coat room.
I know you guys are hiding it somewhere!!! Probably still in the dude's car smh
If calibrated correctly, a 4:13 treadmill mile is EXACTLY the same as a 4:13 track mile............running right behind the pacers.
But dude, have you ever tried sex/masturbation before a race? I've heard (from a friend) it really helps performance ;P
If you assume the runner in question didn't splurge before his(or her?) race then with a properly calibrated treadmill jackoff-olin^3 would put this at something like 4:10. Can the experts weigh in here?
I inputted 1 mile, 4:13, advanced features, race result (vs. anticipated effect), and 14.23 mph tailwind (which is 4:13 pace). It says the effort is worth a 4:32 mile without wind. That seems reasonable.
If you try 3:59 or whatever Fam ran on the treadmill, the calculator shows an 18 second advantage at that pace, so a 3:59 treadmill mile is about 4:17. The 5:10 mile that I finished off my treadmill mile repeat workout with the last time I was on one is only worth a 5:30 mile.
Precor 966i 16 mph 3:45 mile pace.
