So my friend ran a 4:13 mile on a treadmill with no incline. He's definitely not that fast of a miler, so what do you think it's the equivalent of?

Thats a speedy treadmill to be going down to 4:13 pace
4:04 at least man
Was the treadmill calibrated before this effort? Assuming it was, I'd say your friend could run 4:09 in a competitive track mile.
I've been keeping busy boys ;)
Were his legs well lubricated?
409 is far too quick. Use your head, nimrods- its no better than a 4:25. The better question is what is your friend doing racing a mile on a treadmill? He would be better off running an all out effort against other people, not a machine

I am guessing everyone else is trolling. 4:25 sounds right, maybe even slower. It drives me nuts when people assume a person can run faster off a treadmill. For an effort or 4 minutes, there is no question a person should be able to turn their legs over at the speed of a belt better than actually running.
Spikes? If not, I think that's sub 4 potential
Does he eat meat? Red meat has been shown to decrease vV02 max in multiple animal trials. Wake up, sheeple, he's probably a vegan.
Also what do you think the equivalents are (3k-5k)? And should this count for d3 nationals? It is a flat track.
i split 1:55 on a treadmill once. 49.5 on a 4% incline too
what can he run a road 5k in? Might help ensure a more accurate conversion.
man this turkey is gr8
Don't forget about his alpine ski times. Very important for an accurate conversion.
I had a friend pull the same bullshit. His 1500 pr was 4:12, and he ran 4:23 on a treadmill. No way that's legit.
Where all the Latino girls at?
Ask Jamie Norton, I heard he's a 4:06 miler.
He can run 14:30, I'm just not sure he has done it in a race.
Who the f*** races a treadmill mile?
