I forgot to mention above that Ali Kaya's 7:38.42 3000 win broke Mo Farah's 7:40.17 meet record. Kaya led gun to tape.
-
so a kenyan who runs for turkey wins the european championships. whatever.
I am familiar with Turkey's bi-continental geographical stance, but shouldn't they really compete against Asians? closer culturally than europeans, that's for sure. -
Can you repost the results without the Turks?

Before TTC jumps in to say how he's right and everybody else is wrong and that leading is the best tactic, can we all just agree that for someone who is far away away better than the field (Kaya), leading gun to tape is of course a great tactic? -

On a more positive theme, ingebritsen looks to be on the verge of another great year.

Well, obviously the even better Turkish Kenyan (Ozbilen) couldn't win the European championship and had to settle for silver. Even Chris O'Hare beat the German Kenyan for the bronze medal so its not all that bad. -

Heia! Heia! -
1500m video. Holusa was right about 54 flat for his last 400, Ozbilen's 54.7 not good enough to hold on.

Ozbilen very foolish to look back multiple times in the finish straight. The finish line is all that matters; focus on that. -
Filip Ingebritsen with a 3.50 for 1500m...isn't he about 15 years old?

Congrats to Lee Emanuel, looking pretty strong!
