Why would coaches not what their athletes reading these boards? Are they afraid that the kids might found out that the coach is actually horrible at his job?

So, are you saying they visit the boards or not?
I think many of them do. Rupp gets so much abuse on here I would doubt if he visited on a regular basis. He would have to have some really thick skin. I think some of the younger BTC guys probably do.
It is obvious elites do visit. They might make posts, or not.
Rupp avoids Twitter and Facebook, so he is unlikely to be on LRC. He is a good little soldier following general Al's orders.
The first runner that comes to mind that'd be on here regularly, at least to read, would be Nick Symmonds.
