He's running a similar schedule as last year. But last year he was running 4:12/:14s at this point. He of course won indoor nats with a huge negative 4:09.
That stumble probably added 1.5 seconds to his performance. It totally destroyed his rhythm. He still closed well though.
I assume he's not doing a ton of actual speedwork, which I'd say is quite a good sign to be able to run 4:05 off of.
Looks very strong right now.
