i bet he runs exactly 8:27.3x
I'm going 8.35.
8:06
Neither
I am not sure how his training is going but he seems to usually take it easy during the winter. I will go with a 8:19, though I think he has/had the potential to run 7:50.
This is a much more fair over/under than a previous thread which asked over or under 8-flat. No way he breaks 8-flat. I'll give him 8:18.
8:12.3, heard it here first
Better question. Odds he'll ride Uber home?
Scumbag
I put it at 8:00.00. Seems like most people here will bet the over. So be it.
"Better question. Odds he'll ride Uber home? "
-nope. definitely not the better question. go away.
Calling troll for the ridiculous time.
8:00 is the fair over-under. Talent doesn't go away.
I agree with 8:00.
8.00???? are you crazy? no freaking way. 8:15 AT BEST.
7:55
Over 8:10
Nick Symmonds hasn't been relevant in over a year. he's done. he can stick to his gum sales because his heyday is over, I'm afraid. But don't fear, he loves himself so much he won't be missed. Just ask him.
Anything between 9:15 and 9:30 would be considered a success for Nick at this stage in the season.
Over, he will run 8:45 and get lapped twice by the entire field.

Ok, you're either and idiot or trolling.
I'm just being realistic (maybe the pessimistic side of realistic) when I said 8:18. I don't think he's "done" by any means. I just think that he's an 800 runner who already has a big drop off in his competitiveness when he goes up to the mile and that drop-off is only going to increase at 3K.
Add that to the fact that it is February and he's not someone who is generally sharp indoors anyway (plus he had injury issues last year and was fvcking around with beer miles in December). I just don't see him being at the top of his game.
If this was July and he was actually focused on training for the 3000 I'd give him sub-8 for sure. He's got that talent level. But it's February and he's an 800 runner. Sub-8:10 if he had the race of his life and if he shoots for 8:00 and the wheels come off, it could get embarrassing, but he'd probably DNF before he ran 8:45.
