Nice to hear of Zersenay racing.

Are 1-6 Eritreans? Not a single Ethiopian in the top ten? It took place in Eritrea and it looks more like Eritrean championships than East African championships right now.

I liked the podium made of oil barrels. That's a nice thing about running: it doesn't take much infrastructure.

Don't mean to pile on, but do you guys read what you write? When I vomit a stream of consciousness onto the screen, I spend a lot more time correcting spelling/grammar, etc. than I did writing the original content. In other words, the original isn't too far off what I see in pretty much all LRC stories.

Wow. Really close up front. Also, a really slow time for Tadese to win with. Was this at altitude or just tactical? I'm guessing at least somewhat the latter due to the number of guys right there?

Probably. Altitude = 6m according to Wikipedia.

Let´s hope that he was just doing what was needed to win the race. I also hope he finally gets the marathon distance to work for him. He is still young enough to have a shot at winning major marathons, presuming he does not front run them….

At :20 into the video, there is a shot of the start banner which includes a map. It appears from the map that they have decided Ethiopia is not a part of east Africa.
