Did people look at the fields? Everyone is mentioning the same 7 runners with no mention of Jager, Manzano, or Pat Casey.
1. Willis
2. Casey
3. Leer
4. Centro
5. Bernie
6. Manzano
7. Cheezy
8. O'Heezy
9. Jager
10. Lalang
11. Kyle "Crossfitter" Merber
12. Wieezy
13. Gregorek
The crowded field will keep it from getting bunched up/honest pace but also keep it from going ridiculously fast. Fast half, slow 3rd quarter, fast finish. 3:52 FTW.
1) Willis 3:50.6
2) Centro 3:50.7
3) Lalang 3:51.3
4) Leer 3:51.7
5) Lagat 3:53
6) Jager 3:53
7) Cheserek 3:53
8) Casey 3:53
9) O'Hare 3:53
10) Manzano 3:54
11) Merber 3:54
12) Gregorek 3:58
Lawi hates a crowd. He and Casey will end up leading and getting passed. Manzano is either 2nd or 11th.
Centro, Willis, Lawi go 1,2,3.
Lawi
Lagat
Centro
Willis
Centro, willis, lalang are the top 3 for sure.
Centro-3:51-The field will string him along till the real race begins and thats where his 1k speed can shine
Lalang-3:51-ran a 3:52 in relay by himself. Always seems to be right there for the win
Willis---3:51
Lagat-cant put him any lower than 4th with his history
Jager-3:54ish
O'hare
casey
cheserek-it only seems like he has run all out in the 5k/1500 with lawi
manzano-indoor doesnt seem to be his cup of tea from my knowledge
"Looked too good in that 3k against Gebremeskel"
His splits from the last 1k of that race: 32.2, 32.2, 31.1, 27.8, ~26 (~2:29)
So he closed the last 400 in 53-high/54-low after sauntering along at 31-32 for quite a while. Not sure if that's what I'd call "looking too good". I'm not saying that he can't do it, but it's easy to be skeptical.
1. Ches 3:49
2. Merber 3:50
3-12. the old farts
heard it here first.
no one to match Willis and Centro at the end, alot depends on positioning that last 500 meters.
the race witnin the race will be Lagat's quest for the Master's WR. Something in the 3:53.5 - 3:55 is possible.
should be exciting......
O'hare dfl cause he's a bitch and sucks
1) Centro
2) lalang
3) Manzano
4) Willis
5) Leer
6) Casey
7) Jager
8) O'hare
9) Lagat
10) Ches
This is the hardest predictions EVER! Virtually everyone has a shout of winning it, hope it's a fast fair race

Agreed exactly on places except I expect manzano to be slightly higher. Also the times at the back end won't be as fast a you say. (Maybe Casey lagat underrated but otherwise very good places)
Wills wins, side bet Leer doesn't get 4th
This is definitely a 3 person race, between Willis, Centrowitz and Lalang. It has been a long time since 3 athletes in 3:51 'shape' are in the same race. Leo is the only other athlete who would have a shot, but his recent results suggest 3:55 is about the best we can expect. This race could be really fast, I am talking 3:50x and athletes like Wieczorek, Gregorek and Cheserek are in way over their heads.

I dunno about Wieczorek and Gregorek, but Ches was very close to Lalang's level in the NCAA. I think he will hold his own.
Cheserek will do just fine. The guy is a beast. I think he will be 4-5th and just not have the wheels over the last 200. 3:53 for Ches.
Centro 3:50.9
Willis 3:50.9
Lalang 3:52.1
Leer 3:53.0
Lagat 3:53.4
Ches 3:53.5
Manzano 3:54.2
Merber 3:54.4
Casey 3:54.7
I believe Jager will fit somewhere in the 3:54-55 around Manzano, Casey and Merber.
1.Centrowitz
2.Willis
3.Leer
4.Lagat
5.Lalang
6.OHare
7.Cheserek
how is Cheserek over his head? He may not have raced most of these guys yet, but also hasnt been placed in a top tier pro race since he started college. And he has gone toe to toe with Lalang multiple times, losing to him by mere inches both running 3:36, and 13:18 together when they have raced each other. Plus he has the level of kick to match up with anyone. I think Lalang will likely set the pace with Centro and Willis sticking on him, Ches will be right there.
What is the indoor NCAA mile record? 3:52?

I agree with Willis here but not quite has fast. 3:52 for the win with lagat and centro at 3:53
Wild card pick: Sage Canaday
