it's called, "if you want to get interviewed, run faster." how many people in the race should be interviewed? where do you stop?

That was my take as well. If that were Flanagan she would have acted totally different & assuredly said something about her performance, not just her own (which was peppered with excuses). Zero sportsmanship & I wish she would not have caught her at the end. You are correct, both Martinez & Bolden did fail. I hope she gets beat badly in Carlsbad next month.

This is as silly as the threads analyzing Galen's post race reactions. She answered honestly. She did not bad mouth anyone or try to insult anyone. She spoke about herself, her training and how it went. It totally looked like Boldon was going to interview Tully next but then he didn't.

People here expect Galen to bearhug Solinsky when he is exhausted after an AR attempt where he didn't win but did shake Solinsky's hand.

So many athletes are gracious in a win. Handshake, hug, fanny pat. Hall Wright Simpson Leo Symmonds Vessey Duane just to name a few would acknowledge their competitor. She gave Tully some props late in cool down special, maybe at her coaches request. Tully ran a strong focused leg and looked to have it. Her face at the end showed her grit and determination and disappointment!! She and her team members have much to be proud of. They broke that old record too! 🎉🎶😄
