Why would you say UO is a horrible school?
I just noticed that out of state tuition is only $29,000, and that this school ranks in the middle of most categories in academics. I see nothing so horrible.

You damn rich pigs took my invention, "coolaid", and turned it into an abomination. Trying to get high school kids high on it! It's only supposed to be taken in low doses.

If you want to critique academic reputation, you probably should make sure the correct tense of your words (worse=worst). I bet you're the type of "chap" that confuses "you're" and "your."
Here's the question we all want to know: What school did *you* attend?
Your level of proficiency with the English language has me thinking "ITT Tech dropout".
NXN Champ = 5th-10th place at Footlocker
Seems like another Kenny Klotz level pickup for UO, he'll contribute but won't be a factor at national championship meets.
Never surprised though to see any kid pick Oregon out of HS. weather is amazing. Nike is an exciting thing to be associated with.
Did Kenny Klotz run 14:32... Anderson may not be Fisher but he is a stud with potential.
Oregon not only provides excellent resources and a great training environment now, but it provides the connection to Nike that could be beneficial if and when he looks to run professionally. Lots of former UO guys can take a shot at things with OTC after they graduate, which is not always the case for guys who don't already have that association.

U know except the part where he beat the #2 guy at FL at NXN
and Reiser got 6th at NXN and 8th at FL
The fields were extremely even this year with grant probably being ahead of tanner but they didn't race so who knows what would have happened.
Only $29k a year?

Klotz was a 2 x All American in XC (29th in '09, 37th in '07) for the Ducks...

"Who knows what would've happened". We all know what would've happened, Tanner was no where near being considered a contender at FL. Grant Fisher would tear him to pieces.
The kid is looking ahead to NOP.

All we know about Anderson is that he is a darn good runner right now that looks to have a lot of potential. As history has shown, there are very few "sure things" in college based on footlocker or NXN results. Also, as was pointed out above, if he contributes like Klotz did, that would not be too shabby.
Let me modify the OP's original question:
Why would anyone (with potential as a pro athlete) want to go to ANY college?
This is the last year we'll be hearing from this joker as well as the famous Grant. They will flounder in the NCAA then fade into well-deserved obscurity.

Based on your spelling, I assume you went to UofO as well.

Klotz ran 8:18.35 for 3k; McMillan gives that about 14:36. He wasn't quite at Tanner's level (or hype), but he wasn't a slouch.
Klotz ran well in XC for the Ducks, but didn't really see much improvement on the track from his HS pr's. I think he also was unfairly lumped with his Freshman class teammates, who either had surprising or disappointing results during college:
Mercado
Wheating
Acosta
and
