Taoufik Makhloufi is Algerian (North Africa), he speaks Berber, which is an Arabic dialect. Nijel Amos is Botswanan, (South Africa) and speaks English and/or some tribal dialect.

Great post (except for that example of an absolute - "every runner"). A clear example is Zane Robertson's recent accomplishment - he just ran a 59:47 half and went into the race thinking he could run a sub 60.
