Overall nothing seems to stand out... Seems quite bland, zero innovation.
Do they expect just because they are a feminist, woman driven, empowerment ...blah blah company that it is enough to seriously draw people(women) away from Nike, lulu, athleta... Etc?

Give the women in this sport their due. They spend money on running while us guys complain about the cost of FloTrack and Runnerspace. For the same $150 women will buy some gear or travel to a destination race.
As a female, my opinion is yes, they have a good chance. I really like their stuff and it does stand out from all the other brands. More "fashiony" than other lines. I, however, don't own any of their stuff as the store I shop at (Road Runner Sports) doesn't carry it, unfortunately.
Definitely yes. My wife loves their stuff. Designed for women and it looks good on them.
It may not look like anything special, but once you try it on, it makes all the difference. They select really nice materials that feel and fit better than other brands. Their tights are super flattering, and every item I have from them just works for running in whatever element it's meant for. I like them despite their marketing though. I hate the "flock" of bloggers who freak out on all reviews over their free stuff without noting how pricey it is for everyone else. And I think some of their aesthetic choices of late are questionable and fugly. But I always snag their plain-looking stuff when I see it on sale. They're just light and cozy.
I own a fair amount of Oiselle clothes. They definitely have some great comfy pieces. However, in my opinion, these materials that feel so comfortable when I first put them on have a tendency to chafe like mad. Any run over 2 hours and I am hurting in places I have never even thought about before while running. Then I have gaping wounds for like 3-4 days afterwards. Anyone else had this issue?
In general, I prefer athleta. Possibly because I live close to a store. But also because I love the look and the salespeople are SO helpful. I usually come away with exactly what I am looking for.

If you're running more then 30min, you definitiely are not part of their target.

Frankly, this isn't something that concerns straight men.
I ran my first marathon in a pair of their medium short spandex shorts. No chafing issues at all. And they don't ride up unlike nike and underarmour tend to on me. In terms of pricing I'd say they are comparable to Nike and Athleta. I'd say most women are not brand loyal and will buy what they like and feels good. Oieselle just adds another female focused option..

As a Running store who has carried the brand Oiselle needs to decide the direction it will take. Will it just be an online brand or does it want retail partners. Using open to buy dollars to place future orders then receiving less than 15% of the order does not work. Meanwhile their online store has all the apparel you ordered. Their apparel is good not great. Their business model is poor.

I ordered a few pairs of their shorts out of curiosity long before Goucher et al started with them. I'm pleased so far.
First of all, they come with pockets in good places. Its so hard to find pockets in shorts and I like to have a zipper pocket for keys/$ when I'm running/racing. I prefer to run light, and hate to wear a SPI belt if I can avoid it.
I have not had the chafing problem and have taken them out on plenty of 20+milers.
Also, I dry my running clothes in the dryer for convenience and I will give Oiselle credit that so far my shorts are still going strong. Usually the elastic is shot in the liner after a couple years with many brands (I know, I know.. I shouldn't dry them in heat... I'm willing to sacrifice the longevity for convenience).
Can't say I've ever ordered an Oiselle running shirt, most of the ones I see have 13.1 or 26.2 printed on them and scream hobby jogger. I prefer to stick with race shirts for distances I've run so don't see myself ordering those.... but there are plenty of gals out there that spend more than me on running wear.
I'm not a huge fan of a lot of brands when it comes to shorts for style/comfort so in that area, I hope Oiselle keeps at it!

I don't really like Road Runner Sports, the staff seems average and they always try to push their insoles, but they do seem to have the best prices. Has anyone else noticed this?
I own a couple of pieces and like it. The fit is definitely more flattering than some of the bigger brands - that's why I purchased mine. I think the quality is about the same, but I haven't owned my Oiselle gear long enough to see how it holds up, and I haven't bought any of their higher end gear which is wear they really seem to advertise the higher quality. I also like that they have pics from buyers online - it's a lot easier to see how gear really fits when someone other than a model wears it. I hope they make it - their gear is a nice change of pace even if I can't afford a ton of it.
The staff at RRS can be really pushy. They never push insoles on me, but always push socks. Their prices can not be beat, especially when you buy during one of their frequent member special events.
