What's a saree ?
Sari, Saree, transliteration from Hindi, a kind of wrapped dress that Indian women wear. I was poking fun at the ignorant (wow, filter blocked that?! LR has language filter now!?) that saw women in Dubai and assumed they were all from India.
1st $200,000
2nd $80,000
3rd $40,000
4th $20,000
5th $12,000
6th $11,200
7th $10,400
8th $9,600
9th $8,800
10th $8,000
almost no one watching the race on the streets

It's toward the start of our preview.
Hayle looks smoother than Desisa. I think he's going to take it.

Oh, you mean a sari ?!
Do you have any idea of the ethnic make up of Dubai ?
Hint - there are lots and lots of Indians here. I'm pretty good spotting Indian women, thanks. Even wearing bun huggers and fanny packs.
I've heard a lot worse announcers, but he keeps freaking out/over-reacting whenever they move forward to safely get a drink.
hayle look angry at that water stop. threw his cup on the ground.
angry at the time? looked like he just glanced the 1:59 on the car
We now have a 2 man race. Desisa - Boston winner, NY runner up, Dubai winner - total stud against an unknown. The other guy is 21.
Hayle Lemi Berhanu DOB 18th Jan 1990. He won Zurich in his debut in 2:10:40 last fall.
I'd say desisa smokes him but hayle looks good.
But remember desisa won 2013 Boston in a 3 way sprint finish.
He also won Dubai that year in a sprint.
In that race he ran the final 195 meters at 51 second 400 pace.
From our recap:
"The unofficial 42km split was 62:20. If that’s accurate, then it means Desisa ran his final 194.988 meters in 25 seconds. Is that good? Yes, damn good. That’s 51.3 400 pace. So he basically closed a 2:04 marathon with a 25.6 final 200 – ridiculous. Even if the split was off by say a second, he’s still closing at 26.7 200 pace."
DESISA IS DONE
Hayle looks great. But Desisa has a naturally more violent stride.
Runners that place can officially retire in luxury
Hayle dropped his water and angrily threw the cap
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Running for Bowerman Track Club used to be cool now its embarrassing
Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
