Gammoudi was a great runner and probably clean. I wouldn't be surprised if nearly every North African great since then has been a drug cheat.

From a recent study in which they anon-polled athletes:
"More than 2,000 track and field athletes participated in the study, and according to the findings...an estimated 29 per cent of the athletes at the 2011 World Championships and 45 per cent of the athletes at the 2011 Pan-Arab Games said in anonymous surveys that they had doped in the past year."
And That's 45% that ADMITTED to doping.
I'd love to know how they do this anonymous study. If I was a doper I wouldn't trust it to be anonymous so I am somewhat suspect of the protocol.
Here we go women's mile. Starting tv broadcast with a great one.

i don't know about that specific study, but there are several methods one could use in the design to increase the likelihood of people to be more trusting and answering truthfully. one of those is described here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Randomized_responseessentially, you ask people to (privately) flip a coin before answering a sensitive question, then to only answer truthfully if the flip comes up, say, heads, and to choose the more embarrassing answer otherwise (in this case: yup, i'm a doper).
now the interviewer can subtract the expected value of head flips from the total sum to come up with a reasonable estimate for the percentage. and the interviewed subject can always claim that the coin came up heads if their anonymity was breached. this is of course explained to them beforehand, so they do not have any reason to lie.
age cheat too wrote:

But again, f*ck cheaters.
I am told by a reliable source that he is actually 2 years older than his stated age. His world Junior victory with a 52.7 third lap was incredible nonetheless. It's no surprise he got caught once he trained under EL Gs coach, almost every one coached by him except El G has served a doping ban, no need to point the finger at Jama Aden.
For the American fans, David Torrence is also a member of Jama Aden's group.
Wow, I always knew he was an age cheat, but how often do you see an age cheat who is also a doper. Hamza Driouch went from Morocco to Qatar when he was 18, Qatar immediately issued him an age 16 passport and placed him on their World Youth Olympics Championship team. Btw, the IAAF was aware of this and the fact that Qatar had done this several times and did nothing about it as usual. As an 18 year old Moroccan, Driouch had a 1:49x 800 PR; he represented Qatar supposedly as a 16 year old and finished 2nd in the 1000m. The following year, he represented Qatar in the 800m at the World Youth Championship and placed 4th running an incredible 1:46x; however, he placed 4th. - Poetic justice, Qatar forgot that the Kenyans and Ethiopian know how to age cheat as well; the top 3 athletes in that World Youth Championship 800m who beat Driouch ran a mind blowing 1:44x.
your dad is moroccan, u just don't know it.
Ask ur mom if u want confirmation.
