Cheer up guys. He got a "retroactive ban" so he'll be competing again in August. What a great sport this is!

Every world championship gold from 1991-2005 was won by one of these guys
That's 8 consecutive 1500m world titles
What do you mean by dodgy Somalian like jama aden? jama is one of the best middle distance coaches in the world if not the best.so don't say some stupid things like dodgy Somalian, he is a brilliant coach. Driouch was busted while training with hisham Elg's old coach.
I totally agree with you college coach, I been following adens progress and success in past decade many great runners in 800m and 1500m plus the Queen G Dibaba recently . It is simple for stupid minders like Lydiard is God to accuse great coaches coz of ignorant or luck of information.
I think this is useful because a lot of people argue that if someone is good young, they must be clean, because no child prodigy could dope.
This equalizes the suspicion regardless of age.

sad news in the sense that this kid looked like the second coming with that 3:50 at 18 or 19, looking that age, as well as a fast 1k, and in the 3:50 he was out pushing the pace ahead on lap 3. but then he fell off track entirely until this unspecified doping violation. in that picture with farah, he has virtually identical form. of course, in track if it looks unbelievable drugs are probably in the picture.
The 3:50 was actually as a 17 year old, and he went through the half in like 1:51 high.
But again, f*ck cheaters.

Farah's twitter includes several pics of him and Driouch training together over past weeks.
driouch was on the el-g, ramzi, aouita, morcelli macdaddy protocol. which has to be tweeked by now.
he was pegged for a 1500 wr.

I am told by a reliable source that he is actually 2 years older than his stated age. His world Junior victory with a 52.7 third lap was incredible nonetheless. It's no surprise he got caught once he trained under EL Gs coach, almost every one coached by him except El G has served a doping ban, no need to point the finger at Jama Aden.
For the American fans, David Torrence is also a member of Jama Aden's group.
Driouch ran something like a 2:18 1k at the age of 16. He stopped training with Jama two years ago. He hasn't run well since. Looks like he was willing to do anything to get back to high level.
Your comment about Jama and Mo being from Somalia is stupid!

Note: I merged two threads on Hamza.
As for the poster above, that isn't true. The IAAF documents notes a date of August 2, 2012 on his positive test. His ban started Dec 21, 2014 and ends December 30, 2016.
I thought you all were joking about him training with Farah in Ethiopia. That is him isn't it? I think this is the same guy. The guy in blue and red:
https://twitter.com/Mo_Farah/status/557478027597455360Where did you find that other picture of him?
I'll follow up with the IAAF when he was notified of the possible ban, why it took them 2+ years to ban him, etc. It sure looked like he didn't think he'd get banned as he was training in Ethiopia.
Then we can figure out who was coaching him in 2012.

You're right. It was Hussain Jamaan Alhamdah who got the retroactive ban.
Yes they have been training together; there are several pictures of it on Farah's twitter as discussed.
There's pics of him and Farah from Ethiopia this January on Hamza's Instagram too.
Id also like to know why did tilastopaja know about this ban a long time before anyone else did?

Are you saying his results were wiped out there before yesterday?
If I understand this correctly, he was banned due to biological passport variations, not from failing a drug test.

Moron
His birthdate on IAAF.org is stated as 11/16/94. By this date, he ran 1:49.75 800m at age 14 in 2009 in Marrakech, then dropped 3 seconds to 1:46 at age 15 in 2010. So, he was already very close to the American high school record (by an 18 year old) at 15. He never ran 1:45, however, running 1:46 in 2010, 2011, and 2012. But in 2011 at 16 1/2, he ran 1k in 2:17.44 (the type of time that 1:45/3:34 or better guys run, like Torrence and Centro). In December, just after his 17th birthday, he ran 3:34 in Doha, then in 2012, still 17, he ran 3:33 and 3:50. Then nothing much or nothing at all in 2013 or 2014, and now the biological passport based ban.
his best times:
800 Metres 1:46.39 Lille 09 JUL 2011
1000 Metres 2:17.44 Sollentuna 09 AUG 2011
1500 Metres 3:33.69 Doha 11 MAY 2012
One Mile 3:50.90 Oslo (Bislett) 07 JUN 2012
Pity. He was the German Fernandez of Morocco. I'll bet Dave Smith gets blamed for this, too.
