Has anyone spent time in this area? I'm going there for vacaion next week and looking for nice 10-12 mile loops, out and backs, really anything. Please post any experiences.
Thanks

The map at the gate to Glacier has all kinds of trails on it. There aren't many loops, lots of out and backs. If you are looking for paved roads, it is going to be a limited choice. The main road in the park is rather narrow. Run "Going to the Sun" -- good hill workout.
Hungry Horse Reservoir, just a few miles south, has dirt or paved roads around it (Le Grizz ultramarathon site).
Make noise and don't surprised or be surprised by large hairy things that live in the woods. You will be in bear and moose country.
Kevin Murphy, who runs for Montana State, has worked in Glacier Park the previous three years and knows the park inside and out. His e-mail address is runmsu@hotmail.com if you want to get some good park info.
Enjoy your run in the rugged outdoors. Wish I could go for a run in such a place.
