After the downpour of the last couple days here in Tally I had short runs the last two days, so got 18 in today. Saw a few other folks out...but not many. Oh well, got my miles in :)

I'm old and nearly blind and I did the only running I do anymore: five dreary miles on the treadmill. I did a couple hours of volunteer work and in the afternoon, I walked over to my niece's housefor a Christmas celebration.
On my walk over, two high school kids I help coach in X-C here in Washington D.C. came running by. They stopped just a moment to chat. I can't quite explain it, but it made me feel really good. I'm just a volunteer and help out where I can, but it's nice to see two good kids out on a 50 minute run on a beautiful Christmas afternoon, learning the sport the same way I did 45 years ago, and think I might have had some small part in it. It made my day.
Merry Christmas every body.
Did 8 first 3 with wife and then 5 hard.
Merry Christmas.
Got in 6 this morning. Celebrated Christmas on the 21st though.
7mi with my younger brother after presents/breakfast, another 5mi with him once we had digested dinner. He lives across the country, so it's always nice to get in some miles with him.
Merry Christmas, all!
Did a planned run, ended up being 7.6 miles.
Ran 7 miles at 6:45 pace. Surprised by the number of people running more than that or doubling. Seems like a biased sample with those people more willing to post.
Tripled
1 mile tt on track, 1 mile cool down, 2 mile intervals
6.5 at 6:40
Later
3.5 at 6:30
Won't be able to put in miles tommorrow so did some high quality work today.
0 miles. 0.0. Just too many commitments today and really the day is not about running.
The streak is over so long run tomorrow morning instead. Streaks are over-rated.

Is one of your commitments reading this board? It looks like a time management issue.
sorry dude, family trumps running.
This is Letsrun remember - everyone slightly exaggerates :)

They are not exclusive. Just finished my run on the 26th. I bet you are still sleeping and will say something foolish like "sorry dude, SLEEP trumps running". It is all about time management. It is almost 4 am here in California I better not waste any more of my day here on this board I have a lot of living to do today.
I did run, but only enough to say I did (3 miles), plus a bit of core and stretching.
But I did NOT letsrun at all.
I ended up doing 13 with 10 tempo in the morning and 8 in the afternoon.
i ran 40 minutes christmas day. but i then ate way more extra calories then that. gotta run again today.

Unless your family runs. I ran 7 miles with nikeman and our dog, Harley. We wore red and green. I wore reindeer antlers, nikeman wore a Santa hat and Harley wore an elf costume. We got many honks, waves and people saying "Merry Christmas." There were other runners in the neighborhood too.
Weird Bird, you're right. Thanks for the motivation. I got up, read your post and got my act together without sleep in. Did a nice long run in the cold.

Between this and WeirdBird's 4AM run... good motivation. Had to drive 4.5 hrs from the inlaws this morning straight to work, and rather uninspired to run much this evening, but you all are right.
Time management is always key.
I know it is late to get in my Christmas Day report, but managed a sweet 10 miler between brunch and dinner. Got dropped off and ran back.
