20 miles long run to get some peace and quiet
20 miles long run to get some peace and quiet
47 fartlek miles up a mountain range in a snowstorm
I'm still not finished with my run from Christmas last year, only a few more miles to go. If I don't finish until about noon on Christmas Day, can I count that as my run? Or should I go back out and run again?
I'm turning 50 on Christmas but not going to do something stupid like run 50 miles. I was thinking about doing 50 X 200m with 200 recovery on a treadmill.
What pace should I run the 200s in if my 5k pace is around 6:00?

Trying to for a PR on my 10 mile run. If I go sub 6:30 pace I'll be happy.

I'm not running on Christmas Day! That sort of frenetic frivolity fritters away important time that I'll be using to do an analysis of my performance day trading my way to even more riches than you'll ever have, sonny. Running? HUMBUG!
Either 12km or 12 miles. Haven't decided yet.
60 miles to school so that I don't miss my exams.
it's a day for the kids and family
i won't skip, but it's not very important on this day
so i ran hard today, such that an easy 20+ minutes is more than enough for me
Really really long.
Getting up really early and have to do this in the dark because I have things to do during the day.
Will include lots of vertical.
Sort of a fartlek/cross fit/ interval workout.
Will be taking in high energy food and fluids along the way.
I train all year to do this one long run. Seems to get harder every year but every year I set a new PB. Not sure how much longer I can keep doing it.
I have a very supportive wife and a fantastic support crew. I am lucky I have nine really good pacers that help me do this one special run.
I am a self coached pro. I do not make much but I live a very comfortable life. The fringe benefits are pretty good.
Hahaha that was a good one! I hope others understand it.
and this is the same board that critised Hill.
If you can spend it with your family. You have all year for peace and quiet
10 miles, but I'm Jewish.
This is the first Christmas ever that I won't be spending with family.
I'm getting up earlyish and timing my run so that when I get to the trailhead 3 miles in, it's just light enough to see. Doing at least 10, up to 16 if I feel great. When I get back I'm baking cinnamon rolls, cooking eggs, and eating a few bananas. And I'm finally opening the bag of nice coffee I've had for a couple months while I've been finishing off this crappy stuff I got a ton of for cheap. And then I'll open presents!
10.2 miles, but I'm Muslim.

So similar, we Semitic peoples.
It will be a scheduled ten-miler, and then church.
Have to put down my 10 yr, 7m old yellow lab at 11:30, so I'll run a tearful 2.2 V Hard on the TM, take a quick shower, and then go and do the nasty. :(
