Briefly: he can certainly produce results given the opportunity to coach an athlete for an extended period of time--but is very poor with communication, frequently either ignores emails or blames missing them on IT issues (spam folder, etc) and occasionally just goes entirely off the grid, with no workouts or any communication for up to two weeks especially around holidays. He always apologizes profusely. Once he credited my balance due after two weeks of radio silence. I do not know how his business survives unless he treats athletes in a tiered sort of pattern--the least "important" get the least attention, which is my experience perhaps not shared by others. He is an former elite athlete himself, and is a normal guy married with two kids whom I like personally. For anyone who responds I have to simply "be honest" etc I don't think he happens to care if I take my business elsewhere, as his wife seems to have a high paying job. Any advice or commentary--thanks.
