Yep, I've seen about 10 seconds of live coverage. Guess they didn't double check their AV equipment either.

FYI. Runners are instructed not to turn the cans over their head...

What's all this flotrack shamming for?
Flotrack had all permits and permissions for the original venue and was setting it up until the community around the original venue got word of what exactly was going to be happening. Flotrack then secured a new location within hours and already have it set up and ready to go. Great job by Flotrack if you ask me. It does sound like the turns will be tighter than a normal track but honestly does that matter? If anything, it makes it tougher to run faster and therefore a WR would be even that much more impressive.
I fail to see the fault in what flotrack has done so far...
What's shamming?
I still contend that this was the result of poor organization. Prudent event organization steps were ignored or not given enough attention, such as a longer lead time, proper promotion, and community involvement that would have led to this issue being vetted much earlier than the day before the event or not at all.
Working fine for me now.

Yes, that is precisely what I am saying. Am I embarrassing you even more? Am I another lame "nerd?" Sorry.
No, you aren't embarrassing me because I don't know you and you aren't a figurehead of the sport like Flotrack. Similarly, as I don't know you then I don't know if you are a lame nerd, but if you make sophomoric troll face cartoons about spats between running websites that are void of any wit, then yes you would be a lame nerd. My only disagreement with you is that I think you have a very, very low bar for a "good job putting on the event".
Can someone post results as they happen? I'm at work and can't watch video right now
2nd heat underway. The stream cut out 1/4 of the way into the last lap... hopefully it comes back up in a minute or two.

So far they've done a better job covering a running event than
* Chicago marathon local station
* BAA
* ESPN (NYC marathon)
Yes, this is an extremely low bar, but I didn't make the bar, that's where the bar has been set in distance running. Expectations are very low.

I'll try. I'll start a new thread for the play-by-play.

Oh no I'm in agreement that they do a good job covering events. Certainly better than those you listed. But putting on events, as is the case here, they have done a poor job.

Never mind. I just started drinking and lost all motivation to post live play-by-play... lol. I will post the winners of the heats however if I can.

corporate 4x400 relay starts in just a few minutes.
Includes google, flotrack, fleet feet, and more.
Lone star Farms wins relay in about 5:16 or so.
open sub elite race is next.
I have a great picture
I love the fact that one reason they had to move the event was because the original track was owned by an anti-substance abuse organization.

This event may never happen again. They managed to turn a fun college tradition into a commercialized event that they then managed to miss up so bad that professional runners may never come back.
Congrats Flotrack.
there's a lot o' people on here talking out of their ass.
is it always like this on here?
(don't answer)
Sub-elite race is starting now. PRs are around 540's to 6 flat. Late add...Eric Stanley. 3:41 1500 guy is in it. He had no qualifier and that is why. HERE WE GO BOYZZ!
