Of course not. I am sure that with the weather being what it was the big boys completely laid of on time-chasing and focused on a tactical RACE. (Meanwhile, like most joggers, I still tried to time-trial the FASTEST marathon I could...in the conditions.)
Thoughts? People who ran the race and people who love running stats, I want to hear from you! :)
I can see what you're getting at, but disagree.
Two points -
1. All but Kipsang and Desisa were well off the pace. If they all eased off the pace because of the wind, there would have been a bunch of guys together sprinting the last mile.
2. Stating the obvious, but wind is actually a force to reckon with.
