Tim Hacker was a part of two NCAA Cross Country championship teams (1982 and 1985) at Wisconsin. Plus, Wisconsin finished 2nd to some team named Vacated in 1983.
I'm pretty sure those teams were all Wisconsin natives and they won what should be three NCAA Cross Country titles. 1983 was the first season after Dan McClimon's tragic death (see below). It is an abomination that Wisconsin hasn't received the NCAA title they earned.
Oh yeah, Olin Hacker. He's really good.

I watched the 1985 team win at Dretzka Park when I was very young. It was not an "all-Wisconsin" team, but it was an all-Midwest team I believe.
The '83 team had the "big-three" from Wisconsin:
Hacker, Easker, Jenkins - all graduated the same yr and all ran close to or under 9:00y
The '85 team had (from memory):
Hacker - WI
Joe Stintzi (they could write a similar article about the Stintzi family - they went to the same school) - WI
Jenkins (who I think ran only 1-3 races that Fall) - WI
Rusty Korhonen - MI
Kelly Delaney - not sure -
Scott Fry - OH - (Kinney Nat Champ from '84)
Phil Schoensee - MI
No foreigners.
