why did they get rid of the ticker? That isn't at all dependent on the camera and now we can't even see the time or places.

Terrible coverage of the mens race overall so far.
I will never understand how the manage to film all those dumb ass reality shows flawlessly but can't film a marathon race.

The women's camera worked. Why not send it back?
Why would they do something sensible like that? It would prevent us from seeing Kara cry.
"1 mile to go for the men, don't worry we'll go to commercial!"

I have one word for all my brothers who have been cursing at the TV set for the past 12 minutes, wondering when coverage would return to the, ah, race:
Fffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff!@#$%^&*()_
There is a sprint finsih in the men's race and ESPN went to commercial at the 2:06:23 mark.
Kipsang's face looks better than Desisa's. But he's hanging on to Kipsang.
Sweet. A Kobalt tools commercial as the men battle on Central Park South!
His could there not be backup equipment?
Apparently they had GPS they could have thrown up on the screen but neglected to do that too
Eurosport coverage was pretty decent.

Gotta give her a lot of credit for gritting through to finish today. She was clearly in tough shape but still was waving to the fans down the finish (through tears)
This is the most pathetic coverage
How much of the men's race did we miss, about 15 minutes at least?!?!?
And judging bu her form, it looks like she has developed yet another stress fracture.
Might be time to hang it up and just win her local races.
WILSON KIPSANG IS A GOD!!!
Damn, Kipsang just looked at Desisa and left him standing!
Ha! That look Kipsang just gave Desisa before destroying him was awesome...
Doesn't look like a lot of people out on the course.
