What the heck is that even supposed to mean?

Are you stupid, or just really, really stupid? No one is breaking 2 hours and Kenny is not running 2:01. If things were PERFECT and Kimetto couldn't run 60:00 and 60:00 (simple math, use your calculator is needed), then Kenny is not running 2:01. No clue why anyone who runs can't figure that out. Good luck in life and I sincerely mean that.

Geb had world title at at 1500 and marathon world record
Smashed world records which bekele only marginally bettered
And longevity
Longevity when it came to the marathon but not in the 5000m and his XC record was no good. So when you're saying GOAT and one guy wins long and short race in XC for five years and the other wins an indoor 1500m title once and that makes him better? Bekele has a world indoor 3000m gold and Geb doesn't have that. So what is your point? Geb smashed the 5000/10000 and Bekele just "marginally bettered" them? Ok, well who has come close to those records since he set them? And where is Geb's marathon record? Smashed. Geb became an amazing marathoner and extended his career for a long time on the roads. Bekele has more OG golds, more WC golds, the same amount of WCi gold and 11 XC golds.
Just sayin

You're just saying things that are not true. Geb won the 1500m and 3000m in the 1999 world indoor champs:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1999_IAAF_World_Indoor_ChampionshipsNo good? Just see how Bekele is doing right now in the marathon. He will not run under 2:04, let alone 2:03.
I know it by looking at the size of the audience between the two.
Outdoor Track - Bekele and it is not even close at all. Geb's lack of 5000m international championships is what seals this one
Marathon- Geb and it is not close
XC - Bekele and it is not close
Indoor - Geb by a slight margin
OVERALL - Bekele is better

No, just wreong. Geb had to deal with 10k heats in most of the championships that he ran in. Bekele never had to deal with 10k heats. That makes doubling at 5K/10k much more difficult.
The "proper" double (i.e. with the 10 k heats) was done by guys like Viren and Yifter.
Gebrselassie doesn't have an 3000m indoor gold? He has won that 3 times.
so...How will Bekele do in London? Sub 2:03?
Or is he, as I have been saying for years, just another east african now?
I'll guess he'll run a solid 2:08 in London or DNF.

I saw him doing a hill workout on the North face of the Everest just last weekend. Expect great things.

Seriously everyone saying "his last few performances show he is just avg" must have an IQ lower then their age.
He ran 2:05 LOW in his first ever marathon. Let that sink in.
How many people in the world have ever ran faster in their debut? oh right, the WR holder and that is it.
AVERAGE.
We flip out over here when an American runs 2:09.

Will you drop your inflammatory characterization of Bekele as "just another East African now" and eat crow if he does run sub-2:03?

absolutely
If he finishes worse than 6th will you agree he is just another east african?

He's never been just an average East African.
I may concede that he will not be able to realize his WR marathon potential due to injury. :(
Canova says he's at 90%. Given that he's a sub-2h guy, this means he will run 2:11:50 (using Canova math).
ok, color me impressed - 3rd in that field is good. But I wouldn't be surprised if the weird pacing distorted the results - I can imagine a lot of East Africans quit or shut it down after that crazy fast first half.
another race, more evidence that KB isn't going to be a world beater in the marathon. Just another East African.

Clearly I was wrong. Running 2:06:38 at 90% means that Kennster is a sub-1:54 marathoner at 100% (still using Canova math). Expect great things in Rio.

Seriously? Did you really just write that?
Here, let me spell it out for you. Saying "he never was anywhere close to 60 flat twice let alone once." make no sense whatsoever. None. Zilch. Not here. Not now. Not in this Universe. And not in any alternate Universe.
Now if you had the most elementary grasp of the English language and said, "he has never run anywhere close to 60 flat once let alone twice" then one could reasonably believe that your intelligence level exceeded that of a retarded earthworm.
Please learn English. Or just stop posting.

+1
Also remember that Canova used to say the same thing about Moses Mosop. Expect great things to come.
