Look, clearly Ndiku voiced his frustrations with Farah ducking competition this season. He was in the best shape of his life, showing he was best in the world, yet he won't get the label "fastest distance runner in the world" because he never faced Farah.
Ndiku won't get the label "fastest distance runner in the world" because he had the third fasted time in the 5000 and lost a number of races including a big race in Paris where he was 7th.
He may get a number one ranking in the 5000 since no one else was consistent.
But he's not clearly the best in the world.
In fact, there is an argument that Rupp was the best distance runner in the world this year on the track.
He beat most of the top guys in at least one 5000m race (including Nkiku) and was the best in the 10,000.
