Who told you that Gatlin was not tested during his suspension? Lol
Who told you that Gatlin was not tested during his suspension? Lol
It bothers me that so many people favor guilty until proven innocent, instead of the other way around. True, Gatlin has been guilty in the past, but until he is fails another test, he is not _definitely_ still using.
Regarding the image of the sport, whenever I try to get any of my friends to follow track & field / athletics, they NEVER say they would if only they knew the athletes were clean. Dirty athletes are NOT the reason T&F isn't popular, in my opinion.
Lastly, I don't believe that lifetime bans will stop athletes from using drugs. After all, there are crimes in real life that include a life-sentence, which is a lifetime ban from society. Some crimes even carry a death penalty, yet they are still committed. Every T&F athlete who dopes and wins was still wildly talented before the doping. The only thing that a lifetime ban does is ensure that you never see talent again.
So I'm clear, he failed tests on three separate occasions, right? If he had amphetamine for ADHD, he DAMN well knew how strong it is and almost definitely knew how it affected his sprinting. I don't see "Oh I just took it earlier in the day and didn't even consider how it might affect my race"
Could you imagine if justun gatlin did not race? The winning time would be 9.93. Pedestrian..
Ben johnson doped r8ght fr9m the beginning as a teen ager. He admitted it. He never had talent

So if your wife cheated on you would you just forget about it
This is not exactly true.. Because he doped so early we just simply do not know what his base talent actually was.. it does not mean he was not talented. Unless you are very talented you won't run 9.7 just because you take some drugs.. it's not that simple! A 10.9 guy is not going to become world class just because he took some dope.. it won't happen!

You nailed it. "Selling your soul" is now the only path to attaining international success as an athlete.
Quoting Doclove, "So if your wife cheated on you would you just forget about it."
Let's say my wife cheated. True, I might want to tell her to get lost. But, after some reflection, I'd probably give her another chance. Just like Gatlin, until I catch her cheating again, she's not _definitely_ still cheating.
Keep in mind that the pro sports business would go bankrupt without PEDS.
Maybe you better research the facts again.

add steroids at very least and e voila .
recent records in underage hurdles perfect example
of what this peptide can do .
get those legs pumping fast between hurdles
and the age using it at .....................
taking doping to another level and of cheating .....
I don't believe Gatlin ever doped intentionally.
Mr. WalE what were you PR's in the sprints?
Dog
Gatlin is juiced and he knows we know he's juiced! The way he is blatantly goading the IAAF and more importantly the public is a disgrace to the sport. He is so confident that he isn't going to get caught at whatever he is loading up on it makes my blood boil. He was a cheat, is a cheat and always will be a cheat.
A bad weekend for the sport this cheating f***er in combination with the contrived Farah "win" is dragging our sport through the Gutter.
Gatlin's mannerisms have not really changed.. he has always been flamboyant on the track and "humble" off the track I'm not sure why you think he is "goading" the iaaf and the public? Every single race I watch I see everyone clapping and cheering him on. I see many kids wanting his autograph.. What is wrong with them? The fact of the matter is I believe the overwhelming majority do not care about drugs in sport. You cannot be the best in the world unless you dope in ANY track event!!! If you don't dope you can't cope.. If you don't cheat you can't compete.. If you don't use you will lose! It's a sad truth, it really really is but that's how our sport is..
Santa is not real.. Easter Bunny is not real.. World number one without dope? Doesn't exist either! If it's not gatlin some other doper will be number one.. take your pick from the list behind him. Gatlin knows that if he doesn't dope some other doper will cheat him out anyway so what do you expect him to do?? A lot of top athletes don't wish to dope.. but how else does the athlete level the playing field? Gay ran 9.71 and he got demolished! What do you expect him to do? Gatlin runs 9.79 and gets a bronze in London WTF? 9.88 gets you 5th!.. Blake sees what his friend is doing to be number one.. what do you expect them to do? Bolt was getting smashed by Gay originally what did you expect him to do? Someone will always cheat so they say well I might as well dope. A clean sport is impossible.. just look at the society we live in. So you cane mad at gatlin all you want but the problem is this thing you love so much is a fraud. love it or hate.. it's the truth! 9.77/19.71 in one night is amazing.. you would rather see 10.00/20.20 double? YAWN!
Well I used to believe that too.. I'm certain the first failed test was a mistake.. he had field a tue will ncaa but not iaaf honest mistake.. I personally know someone who made the same mistake as a college student too. anyway..
Gatlin intentionally doped the second time don't believe his story. Angel Heredia named him when he gave the list of his clients. Interestingly tho Shawn Crawford was not on the list.
