Galen Rupp is running 1500 in Brussels! How low can he go?

A whole Lotta 329 and 330 guys in that race. Not sure if any of them have any time motivations, but unless it's slow, there's no reason to think he can't go 331.

Well that quote didn't work correctly. I was replying to the guys who said sub 3:30 but it autoquoted the wrong thing.

yes I do, 2 americans have and its about time more do...

3:50i should indicate 3:31 or 3:32 outdoors, but Rupp seems to run better indoors than out, with the exception of his 10000m performances. I say he runs 3:33 at the fastest, but I hope it's quicker than that.

Has he ever run a 1500 this late in the season? He usually runs them early, so this could be the sharpest 1500 we've ever seen from him.

I'm guessing 3:31. That would be a solid pr but still just off of Farah, which is where Rupp seems to always be.

3:31 is not just off of 3:28

rupp seems to be rounding into form only now. kind of a double peak season, with the time off and relief of having his first kids.

he should do well and finish mid pack so if it's fast you are talking 333 or 332. which is equivalent to a 335 in a regular race without a ton of fast guys to draft off.

i take it that he's doing some serious speed work so an A+ Rupp can even go 331.

Ingebrigtsen for the win in 3:28, Rupp second in 3:29 and

Kiplagat 9th in 3:33.

So he's as good at 1500 as Willis? And better than Centro, Leo, etc? NO WAY.

You also apparently think a guy who couldn't break 4 until his junior or senior year in college is now better at 1500 than 5000? Please explain that one to me.

29 men in history have broken 3:30. The 29th men in history at 5000 has run 12:52. WHY WOULD A 10 SPECIALIST LIKE RUPP BE BETTER AT 1500 5000?

The only reason why I think anyone would predict Rupp would run 3:29 is simply the fact that Farah's 3:28 makes zero logical sense as well and Rupp trains with him.
