I want to thank all for their recent responses = big help.
Thanks again.
Do you people shop by online shoe store website or do you plug the specific shoe you are interested in into Google, and see what pops up?
Thanks in advance. PS. I am trying to find the most efficient way to purchase racing shoes (non marathon) online.
People have to buy running shoes? Weird!
UK Based. Generally "Sportsshoes, com" or the manufacturers own UK website. Price matters.
Dont do eBay/Amazon/other sites as the risks of fakes is high.
Decathlon
They work amazingly well for the price.
The two small local running stores in my area do not carry Nike. So that leaves them out. Don't really care for Dick's so mostly E-Bay.
Running Warehouse used to be my go to but they’re basically priced at retail prices. Used to get coupons but they stopped all of them.
I use Eastbay or Amazon. Eastbay runs amazing sales! One of the shoes I wear is the endorphin speed. When the new ones came out suddenly there was not a single pair of the old colors. Amazon had the new colors for $30 cheaper.
Amazon has a certified Saucony store.
I generally get a pair from one of the hospitality tents they have at cross country meets. I usually select one from a town I have heard of so I can support them.
The northern runner
Walmart
The Brooks Outlet store just north of Seattle. Even better is when they have twice a year truckload sale.
I do both. Just know that 80% of the shoe sales you see on Google shopping are not legit. It's pretty easy to identify which are bogus though.
I buy exclusively online and don't think there is any one place that is better than another, it all depends on what is in stock and the price at that moment. Sometimes it's Amazon, Running Warehouse, Eastbay, Dick Pond, Nike, Saucony. It all depends.
Over the years I have settled on Saucony. I get them direct from Saucony. My local 'all brands' running stuff store waits to accumulate a larger bulk order before ordering - which often equates to 3 to 4 weeks. SAME PRICE. I order from Saucony direct and have them in hand (on foot) in 3 days max.
