Serious, non-trolling answer here
This board consists of competitive athletes, coaches, and sports fans
* ALMOST ALL distance coaches are male - just look around the nation at how many
* MOST competitive athletes are male - just look at the relative depth of men's vs. women's times at your local road race
* MOST sports fans are male - males and females participate equally thanks to title 9, but most spectator attention goes towards males
i'm a 45+ year old woman and have posted under hundreds of names over the past 11 years.
I would guess than at least 40% of posts on this board are by women.
Everyone just assumes that they are reading a post by a guy but how do you really know? Most threads having nothing to do with gender so how can you tell whether the response is by a man or a woman?
I'm both a hard-core track fan and rather sarcastic, so I love to go to Letsrun to get news and laughs.
None of my friends who run have any interest in professional running.
If it helps, I'm a female underclassman in HS.
And no, my favorite runners aren't Kara or Lauren. I have nothing against them, but I prefer Jenny Simpson, Cain, Coburn, and Wilson.
Hope this gives you some insight
A recent independent user survey commissioned by LRC provided the following about visitors (not necessarily posters) to this site:

I am not young like you, but similar otherwise. I find that anti-trolling, or reverse-trolling, the boys in a sarcastic way can lead to some interesting funny posts. It helps that they don't know whether they are arguing with a male or female. Of course, it has occurred to me that one a few occasions I might be doing exchanging posts with another woman, but there is nothing wrong with not really knowing.

You are MOST mistaken on all your premises except the one about most coaches being male.
Come on, I'm not saying the vast majority are male, but is it that wrong to think there are more males than females who consider themselves either 1) "competitive" or 2) a sports fan?

Thanks for the insight.

Because....why? Because 40 is your favorite number?
Seriously, you based that "guess" on absolutely no facts, data, or even anecdotal evidence. Others may have done the same, but where on earth did you come up with that number? Lemme guess: intuition or a hunch.
Yes, you definitely sound like a woman.
Well, I'm a woman, and I love to read the cute banter on this webpage site. I simply can not understand why this is so hard to understand.
There are females on the site. We just don't want to interact with any of you.

So, you admit you prefer "interacting" with men only.
You're interacting right now or any time you are on the site.
No reason to post here if you're a women since you're most likely going to get run over the coals in very short order. take that in any which way you like, and then stick it where the sun doesn't shinola
Kindred Spirits: Only useful thing about this "forum" is the Search Engine...especially info from at least a few years back.

Written like a manly-man who has never had an experience with a woman: a virgin male.

Meaning; none of your business.

but why wrote:
Your only recourse is to resort to ad hominem attacks...
