I like to do my errands shirtless in half tights. I wear an old part of trainers with loose laces sockless or just go barefoot
holy $hit you guys are a freakin' train wreak.
Get some style and dress like a grown @ss man,not a 10 yr old.
I wear those silvery sweat suits around because I want people to know that I'm serious all the time about my athletics.
I wear my vibram five fingers all the time because if I accidentally wear shoes I will develop bad feet.
I wear my Boston marathon jacket as a formal jacket so I have dinner conversation piece.
But I run in jeans.

No. Nothing is less fashionable than wearing old running shoes and road race t shirts.
Fashionistas are wearing some of those Peg 31's and Structure 17s with jeans.
I have lived in Santa Cruz for 30 years. I wear cargo shorts, t-shirts (usually old race shirts) and retired running shoes 99% of the time. I dress just like everyone else in town. No one is into fashion.
The only time guys here wear long pants is to go to a wedding or a funeral.
Another question: Do you wear underwear or shorts or go 'commando' with your half tights/tights?
Yes. That is the only way to tell people that I am an elite hobby jogger. That I am superior to you American fatties and they should move to the side of the road when I walk.
I'll wear a pair of arm warmwrs to work. Sometimes the conference room gets a little hot and I can strip them off mid-meeting.
Casual wear in public:
I wear a long sleeved sports/quasi dress shirt with my pens & glass cloth in shirt pocket, jeans or casual dress pants. When it's hot I'm in my cargo shorts. I bike a lot to get around daily morning errands. Shoes? Used runners or runners not quite suitable for me for running. All weather boots for winter or bad weather wear. Cellular attached to belt at all times except while running. PM, Walkmans attached to belt - not while running I may add.
I have long given up on wearing any race singlet in public. No need to advertise I have once raced such & such a race or any club singlet saying I once ran for this club.
there, how do U like me now??

That is a fashion disaster.
I make a great effort to wear normal clothes. Old trainers look tacky and is as bad as the guy wearing his NB's 990's that very obviously doesn't go to the gym. I'd say race tshirts are ok in moderation.
I have done some unplanned (usually chocolate milk) grocery shopping in 2" split shorts though.

I remain in my running clothes after workouts or races until I get back home or to the hotel, except if a warm or dry layer is required for hanging out. No sense in changing when I'm showering later.

Good!
I never liked cool people or cool running clubs!!!!
I'll wear some stuff like casual t-shirts, half zips and jackets from saucony when I'm running around doing errands or going to or from the gym/workouts and some of their originals (sneakers), feels comfy and they sponsor me. But not in social/work settings.
Old trainer as daily shoes.....not a good look gents.
Absolutely not.
My geek running clothes have no place in my life as a scraggly, mildly notorious boho artist in black jeans.
wear my old running shoes out that's about it. and some old race tshirts. running shorts stay under or away!

I love wearing my see thru lycra nylon elastane running tights every where I just pretend I am still running when I walk to shops or where ever. I lift my shirt when i want to give a group of girls an eye full I get giggles, laughs, comments of course all positive and total disbelief that I am wearing this out fit. girls will stop and chat and feel like they have to tell you that its see thru and that they can see every thing. I love the attention I will stay in these all day and start at 6am and try to run past as many girls as possible. hysteria and mayhem and whistles and screams . I love my running gear its socially accepted exhibitionism
