River Falls is barely a stop on the free way. There's nothing drawing talent there.

As someone who is being actively recruited by Chris Rombough, I can tell you first hand that the guy has something to offer. I have attended some of his practices, and I know that in a matter of a couple years UWRF will be a top team in the WIAC.
UWRF is also recruiting a 15:50 5k HS runner from MN. So your claim that nobody talented chooses there is incorrect.

Borderline racist? What makes you say that? He follows me on twitter and I have seen most of his tweets, and seen nothing that could be interpreted as racist.
Got to May 28th of last year without finding anything, gonna call it good there.
Think the program at UWRF is gonna be interesting in the next couple of years, probably mid to upper-tier WIAC within 3-4 I'd guess. Chris is smart, does his research, open to suggestions, and overall a pretty nice guy. I'm rooting for him.
How about we stop posting on this thread until December of 2015. When he had a full year with current guys and his recruiting class. They aren't going to beat Eau Claire or La Crosse, but they haven't been top 5 in over 30 years according to WIAC Men’s Cross Country Standings.

Eau Claire and La Crosse will go 1-2 in WIAC next year, but RF at number 3 or 4 would not surprise me with Rombough coaching them. He definitely knows his stuff.
How'd this turn out for everyone?

In 2019 WIAC cross country championships River Falls was last place for both men and women. So it seems the program was not turned around after a few years. I have no ties to this thread, and have no idea if Rombough is still coaching there.
