How is this an evidence for doping? Remember Pamela Jelimo? Do you think she was doping?
When you improve too quickly and achieve something great that you didn't even dream about before you easily lose the motivation and former drive. Or she might have been injured after her breakthrough.
Who doesn't think Pamela Jelimo was doping?

Radcliffe was a World Jr xc Champ. She wasn't winning gold on the track but she was amazingly good. Her 14:29 5000 was at the time the fastest non-African/Chinese time in history (now only surpassed by a chinese). Her 30:01 is still the fastest non-African/chinese time in history.
Radcliffe's 14:29 5k was at age 30 in 2004, a year after the 2:15 marathon, not hardly as a junior.
Radcliff's marathons, being far ahead of any women, prove there are only two possibilities.
#1) Radcliffe is the biggest doper and cheater of all time;
OR
#2) Drugs are not an advantage and there is no reason to ban or disparage anyone for using them.
I am curious which one of those that it is, and regardless of that, Radcliffe is a hypocrite for protesting the drugs, because SHE is the one who has the most suspect performances in all of women's athletics.
She should just turn that sign around to herself.

No it doesn't.
Reminds me of two high hurdlers from Tx AM and South Carolina who were average in college, suddenly becoming world beaters and breaking 13 numerous times. Then the last two years they return to their previous level ?
Did their drug test show some irregularities, and the power that be warned them to clean up their act.?
"but winning Olympic silver is the equiv of say a 3:58 in my book."
What are some other BS equivalencies in your book?

Lol, surprised it took this long for someone to ask.
To Lets Double Standard:
Isn't there a 3rd possibility: Radcliffe is not a doper, drugs ARE an advantage, but exceptional talent (Radcliffe) beats both drugs and mediocrity?
To rojo:
Actually it hasn't been "only...a chinese" that surpassed Paula's 14:29.11. It has been 5 different Ethiopians, a Kenyan, a Turk, and a Russian. The Chinese woman ahead of her ran a faster time before Paula's 14:29.11.
To trackcoach. and rojo:
Why is Hicham El Guerrouj being accused of doping? Since when is consistency the mark of doping? Here are some other consistent runners: Haile Gebrselassie, Paul Tergat. Were they dopers? Why is there so much accusation of great runners? It feels a little like McCarthyism, in that someone gets ahead and they're accused of conspiring.

Most of the people just want to argue with Rojo. I don't agree with his logic, but do agree Bulut's performance at the Olympics was highly suspect. Just the manner she ran it, wasting energy all over the place was enough for me.
Personally, I think if you look at Paula's history of results they are incredible from 3000M all the way to the Marathon for large span of time.
Solinsky was world class for about 4 months with a body type very similar to the EPO/Blood Doping/etc. era of Miguel Indurain and Lance Armstrong. His size and extremely short time at the top seem very questionable to me.
For some reason, what I posted got cut off.

Oh my God, now I want to kill myself because my post keeps getting cut off. Bottom line, I don't think doping accusations are productive, especially in a sport that needs all the support it can get from the general public.
