Actually I'm not ~ who cares if anyone reacts to my death? I'll be gone. Just making a valid point and highlighting a fact, that people like you tend to upgrade people's status once they die.
Who says he was the funniest? The mainstream polls? Not arguing his acting roles, some were legit but I think it's a little far fetched to call him one of the greats. The guy dies and suddenly his fan base triples.
Haven't upgraded his status one bit, troll.

So you decided to illustrate just how much the death of Robin Williams DID NOT affect you by basically taking over this thread?
Why don't you start your own thread that proclaims to the world how much you totally don't care at all about this topic.
they just released his last words
"two Jews walk into a bar"
Classic letsrun, a child looking for attention takes over a thread he has no interest in and has nothing of value to add, for no other reason but to destroy the discourse of those who find meaning in the subject.
Well done, I'm sure it gave you great satisfaction.
profoundly unfunny man
The title is Robin Williams RIP... what does that have to do with exegerating how good he was as a comedian? If anything you are all off topic by adding all these ramblings about how he was the best of all time, etc.. The guy died, he was a celebrity.. get over it. I'm just calling a spade what it is, nothing personal so don't get heated.

You completely miss the point that you are adding zero to the thread by proclaim that he wasn't funny. Nobody cares what you think and you should start your own thread for that subject. You also might want to seek counseling because you appear to lack any semblance of empathy and compassion. You never did say what it is like to watch stoically every movie. It must be weird.
A little obssessed with how I can watch movies stoically huh? Pretty easy, comedy doesn't do it for me, it's boring. I like dramas and suspense and even documentaries if the topic is good. I mentioned I liked some of his acting in more serious roles... getting a little hot and bothered by me stating he's not as great a comedian as you are claiming is a little absurd on your part no?
Maybe you should start a thread to argue why he was the best comedian ever.. you clearly don't fit in
You suck. Go suck elsewhere.
Meh, let that cockroach have this thread all to himself.
Come on, people. If you want to waste time on moronic trolls, go listen to Rush Limbaugh.

What's your 5K and 10K PR, slick?
I actually agree with this troll. Why is it disrespectful if someone thinks the guy wasn't that funny? It's just an opinion, he's making a valid point and adding to the discussion IMO. I agree that celebrities are embellished once they die. If there was a thread on him a week ago most would have probably not even clicked on the link. He was done as a comedian and actor. Why make believe he was a great?

Supposedly he has four movies still coming out. That hardly seems "done".
You guys don't get it. I am trying to increase the hits on this thread by taking the an unpopular position. I really don't care.
I actually do find some of Robin Williams comedy and acting to be quit good. But, that is not why I am trolling here, get it?
Anyone who is over 50 and I am, knows Robin Williams as a great , not good entertainer.
Most who are over 55 saw him for years. Any trashing of him comes from under 30 year olds who just have no idea of what was good, or funny.
Who? Kevin Hart, who cannot get his face on display enough?
It is an Era thing, the same folks thought nothing of the great Lauren Bacall who passed today.
Some of you need to know how to bridge eras, in running and in other areas of greatness.
Like thinking there was ever a greater player in BB than Babe Ruth, certainly NOT in my era. or Wilt who was the greatest of all time in hoops. Maybe Jordan, but thats it.
Loss of life is a tragic thing, matters not if someone had a ton of money, the pain will stay with many, that could be Robin Williams or anyone you know.
and get used to that it happens a bit as you get older.
Ironically, I started reading the works of Stanislav Grof, "Stanislav Grof is a psychiatrist, one of the founders of the field of transpersonal psychology and a pioneering researcher into the use of non-ordinary states of consciousness for purposes of exploring, healing, and obtaining growth and insights into the human psyche."
Which makes me think that Robin Williams comedy forte was just an a conduit of a non-ordinary state of consciousness.
I wonder if RW was given LSD/DMT in a clinical setting (providing it was legalized in the USA in a clinical setting) would've benefited Williams. We'll never know. I remember seeing (when I was 16) RW in an episode of Happy Days, and thinking, "that guy is (his acting style) is out of this world" literally as he played an alien.
