I went last year and will be goin again this year. Drove 90 minutes for one race and it was well worth it. Can't wait for Sunday.
Who will win the women 800
It'd be nice if they had a couple more races, but I agree completely about not having high school races for the reason he gives.
I'll be there. And bringing the kids too!
The races are going to be beautiful and I'm thrilled that Nick & crew were able to put together such a terrific field. I'd rather watch 2 stacked races and head home than 8 mediocre ones.
I'm headed to the Michigan Track Classic this weekend being hosted by Nick Willis. Anyone know who is on the entry list for the two races, Women's 800, and Men's mile?
LRC Editor's note: We changed the thread title to make this the official thread and to get people to make their predictions.

mens mile- willis first, heath second, merber third
womens 800- agee, grace, uceny? wright? not sure
agreed that they should do mens mile, 800, women's mile, 800. it would still be a concise meet. heck with just two events will it be longer than 30 minutes?
also- would be awesome to see wright get under 2 or even pr again- big fan of her's.

Both races look stacked! The atmosphere is going to be awesome.
Both races look like cakewalks for the two favorites, no?

Brent Pismo wrote:What is the standard conversion from 1500 to mile? Looks like they just tacked on 17.0.
Most of those converted times on that list probably should have been rounded to the next second.
The standard conversion is 1.08 (per TNF News).
I'm sure ventolin has something that involves a combination of functors, Lie algebras, and Riemannian geometry, but 1.08 works for most people. :)
Or couldn't they just use the athlete's actual mile PR?
Willis
Merber
Boyan-Pett
Wilson
Lara

It will be ~80F here when the race is run with 48% humidity and a slight breeze. That should have an impact on the race for the Michigan mile record.
This should be an easy win for Willis and Wilson if they are fit. If not, things are wide open.

It's just a mile. That weather should have no impact at all.
I'm guessing there's no livestream but will there be race videos?
