Bedan Karoki is a beast! I've been following him ever since he got 5th at 2012 Olympic 10k final and he's been very consistent
Broke 60 in the HM in March, then 26:52 in May and PRE, this was nothing to him
His real breakthrough races came in 2011
Payton Jordan 10000m (Palo Alto) - Out of Japan, he is running a time trial along with many other Athletes (primarily Americans as well as a threat to the at the time British Record) and he felt that the race was going to slow, especially if the British Record needed to go down. He starts to accelerate quite a bit to help the field, but no one goes with him. He then proceeds to drop the field instead.
Kenyan Trials 10000m (Nairobi) - Apparently off of similar pacing, he tried a similar tactic to drop his competition before somehow recording a DNF (I believe he collapsed before the finish after getting caught).
