Can we make Falmouth all-American too please? Thank You.
Sad if you can beat them then ban them. It will only cause the quality of the events to falter. The b level US stars will rein court , A level americans will cherry pick easy money and will "crush" non world class fields as the headline says.

Nice word picture you painted there.

Why does the U.S. run these unorthodox events no other country acknowledges? Is it because we can't compete with the rest of the world in real events. I never heard of a 7 mile race.
Why don't we have other events we can win...like a 3.9 mile run.
Congratulations! You have won today's Village Idiot Post of the Day. Our contest is now closed. Thank you for playing.
So I see they've uh, whitened up the field at Bix. If she could have won in a "foreign" field, why were they left out this year?
I would like to add that Shalane Flanagan ran the US 15k championships in 47:00, that's back to back to back 15:40's, which is 5:03 mile pace for 9.3 miles and there was hills on that course as well
Molly Huddle, phenomenal athlete don't get me wrong, but she only did 5:10.6 mile pace for 7 miles
Plus on another note: Molly ran 14:42 outdoor to set her own AR
Shalane ran 14:46 indoor one year in January
It's probably about equal performance wise, if not Shalane's being better
And let's not forget Shalane's 30:22 10k

Didn't Flanagan set that 15K record in Florida? Have you run the Bix course? You can't really compare paces. The Bix course is very hilly.
Very humid out as well at Bix.

Good points, we can only like ONE person at a time and everyone else just sucks.
is that why no internationals ran the race this year?
Well... lets make up another event, like the 800 M hurdles.
For the same reason your girlfriend dumped you...it's more interesting and exciting.

That's a terrible thing to say about your mom.
And who were these international world class athletes who competed?

And it is chumps like you who makes this sport so exciting to watch... a 7 mile race to nowhere.
Every few years the Bix is deemed the US National 7 Mile Championship. Most years foreigners litter the top 20, but in a national championship year they are not allowed compete
