Thanks for the link dude, this shit is GREAT!! I never thought track could be exciting on the radio, but listening to these Brits hyping the women's 10k right now, you can feel the excitement building. Can't wait to hear their description of the race.
Meanwhile, I think ESPN is showing the "Great Outdoor Games" or some such crap.
I may be a geek for replying to my own post, but I just realized one of the guys talking in the booth for BBC is none other than SEB COE! Damn this is great.
Only drawback are the occasional news breaks, like I need to know that Tony Blair's wife suffered a miscarriage, or what train stations are flooded...still, it beats the hell out of watching the same stale baseball highlights on ESPN's 37th sportscenter of the day.
Screw radio, you can watch it on TV without any news interruptions!! Go to
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/athletics/default.stm
and click on "Watch BBC TV coverage" in the upper right corner. I have a 56k connection and get perfect audio and some video as well (you can at least tell what's going on).
Hurry up, the 10000 goes off in a few minutes.
thanks man. that's sweet! just in time to see paula smoke the field.
What program are you all using to open up the live video/audio feeds from? I am getting the dreaded "choose a program to open this" box, and I have no clue what to choose.
now shouldn't all you Americans take a deep breath and say thank you to the good old BBC and Britain - you may have whipped our asses (sorry arses) all those years but when it comes to track and field coveridge you have alot to thank us for..........
Boy is that the truth...I just don't get it but the difference is there...Oh well...thanks BBC...
...and it's difficult to get the free version from the Real website - they keep steering you towards the pay version.
