5 guys under 1:43!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
5 guys under 1:43!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you had told me Rudisha would run 1:42.xx today, I would have bet good money that he would win.
But to see 5 people break 1:43 in ONE race is completely insane. Almost definitely the only time that has happened.
Rudisha is now officially the best rabbit of all time. He dragged everybody to PRs in London 2012, and now he's done about the same today.

What happened to Duane Solomon?
He pulled off the track with ~90 meters to go. I didn't see if anything happened to cause that.
I'm lookin forward to the BBC Rudisha documentary on the 22nd!!
Its too bad about Solomon(sp?) ... He and his coach were talking up an AR attempt earlier in the year and this would have been a great race for it.
I've been following Bosse for years. So much speed for a young guy from a country which keeps accurate records of birth dates. 1:42.5 in his early twenties. He's destined to go sub 1:42 before his career is over. I'm not sure some of his other "young" competitors aren't somewhat older and at their peaks already.
Didn't Aman used to be unbeatable in Rudishaless races?

Amos looked amazing in that 800. Bosse gave him some big-ups after the race... lots of respect in that field. Rudisha obviously didn't recover from Glasgow as well as he hoped he would.
And still ran 1:42.
Exciting last 100
Bosse almost took that race.
5 guys under 1:43 has happened once before. At the London Olympic's when Symmonds got 5th
Solomon has already peaked, might have low ferritin or somethin
Awesome to see Nijel Amos back after doing nothing last year. I think it's safe to say that 1:41 silver medal performance in London was no fluke. Rudisha the GOAT is going to have his hands veryyyy full even when he gets back to WR form.
Rudisha should be pleased, sub 1:43 despite a terrible last 100m, still getting into form and should be close to 1:42 flat or under shape in another 2 months
Way to go out on a limb there.... "almost definitely."

How soon we forget the London 2012 final.
LaShawn Merritt 44.30 FTW!
Made me think, do they call it the "drug cheat 400" when Ohurougu runs?
Dammit I'm not going to be able to watch the 1500 live! Argh.

Geez I noticed he was really losing ground on the backstretch. I had hoped for a real attempt on the AR but I guess that was a little optimistic.
Alright 1500m boys, hope you took note of that 800m race you just saw and be ready to roll! WR or bust Kiprop
