What's the record in the events that are part of the marathon majors? (including from before that was set up).
I looked through London's winners and there's a few guys Ceron, Pinto, Kipchoge with 3 wins as has Paula.
It seems to be a really difficult event to dominate, unlike other sports.

Clarification - I mean in terms of wins not necessarily consecutive.
Breaking 2 was a competition sanctioned by the Italian Federation.
It included 3 competitors - all who finished which is only a few less then the elite divisions of many road races around the world.
In regards to the rules, all of the competitors were treated the same. But certain rules were not followed in regards to pacing that prohibited it from having any of the performances ratified for records.
There are thousands of competitions held around the world that are sanctioned that don't meet all of the rules for records or establishing qualifying times for the WC or OG. The Breaking 2 was one of them.
In regards to the pacing of the Breaking 2, as everyone knows there were teams of pace setters coming in and out of the race because there are no runners that could have run with Kipchoge from the start to nearly the end. So how is this different then having male pace setters running with the women right to the finish line.
I would add this to the list of his wins!

Looks like Shorter may have won 10 as well. Amazing in this era.
I find it crazy how often people forget about Abebe Bikila in threads like this.
In terms of Marathon running he's the only one that a reasonable case could be made for greatest ever other than Kipchoge.
He's won 12 of 13 Marathons from 60 to 67 including a double Olympic Gold, including a WR and a barefoot win. His 5th in Boston in 63 prevented what could've been a perfect winning streak.
