If you like the video of the Matterhorn, go to the Summits of My LIfe website and buy his first two movies. His next movie will show Denali, Elbrus, and Aconcagua.
The climb at the end of his first movie, Innominata Ridge of Mont Blanc takes normal people 2 days and they normally bring along rock climbing protection. But he summits it in a few hours free solo.
He's running/hiking up climbs like Matterhorn and Mont Blanc that normal people take a full day to hike up. I hope that he is careful though. Nobody knows what can happen in a place like Everest. And you can see in that video he is not wearing a climbing helmet. Even though the lightest of helmets (Petzl Sirocco) would be about 1/3 of a pound and keep his head safer. But he wears helmets on other climbs, so I guess he didn't feel it was needed there.
To be able to be on Denali and go from 14,000 ft to 20,000 feet in under 10 hours is amazing. If a normal person, even acclimated did that it could be deadly.
For sure, he's inspired me to get more into hiking and ski mountaineering.
