Probably most people don't realize that Fisher isn't even the youngest member of the men's team. Myles Marshall of Kingwood, TX made it in the 800m (time of 1:48.43) and is 7.5 months younger than Fisher. Sophomore Josephus Lyles (15 months younger than Fisher) finished 4th in the 400m to make it in the 4x400m relay.

Fisher is very impressive. I recently saw him run live in the two-mile at the Brooks PR Invitational. He blew everybody away in the last 200 meters. That's the kind of kick a runner needs in today's track world. The future sure is looking bright for this young man, and I wish him all the best.

Fisher is on the younger side for his grade. Not by traditional standards when we were all in high school, but by today's standards where some of the Juniors are 14 months older than he is!

Not to point out the complete obvious, but you posting the initials GF made me realize that Grant is probably the best high school runner we've seen since German Fernandez. Magic in the "GF".
Ever heard of Lukas Verzbicas? -

He's Lithuanian? For Pete's sake, how can he be then an American HS sub 4 holder. He's just another foreigner who weasled his way in to HS. He definitely is a gypsy
He is from Lithuania, but is a USA citizen.
Well, no. He isn't. Not yet. -

All you're going to get from mentioning Verzbicas is the morons on this forum calling him an age cheat. No amount of logic or reason will pentrate the thickest of skulls. -

Also a pretty good run by high school soph Tamagno.
Good run by him but the field was quite weak.
