Is there a video of the B 1500 race there?

Bolas was not in the field. Appears Cory Leslie ran under Bolas name.
He ran 3:39 as a freshman to win outdoor nationals, leading the whole way, and then as a senior or just after he may have gotten his time down a second or so, so I think that this 3:38 is either his second fastest time or close to it. Don't be surprised if he runs 3:34 or better in a month. Nor if he gets injured, but we know that this is among the most talented runners we've ever had.
Watching the race you can see he seems totally relaxed and smooth but his mechanics have changed somewhat - he's carrying his arms a bit weird though. The beard thing too is totally different - he's gotten rid of the mod-sports-boy-look with the shades. Has Leer been handing him facial hair??? It would be awesome if he could drop a second peer lap and go for a PB this summer. What is his next race?

And you're the biggest dumb@ss complainer on this website.
You're a bit out if date buddy. YouTube has become massively profitable in the past several years. Welcome to 2014
Wrong. Why do you make up shit? It has yet to actually turn a profit for Google as of 2014.

It sounds like Coach is thinking more long term with German than trying to get him back to his old self within one season.

Actually he/she's? right. In 2013 it was estimated google made 5.6b in gross revenue from YouTube and 1.96b in net ad revenue when all the costs are deducted. 2014 is expected to have significant growth as well. You are several years living in the past, this is pretty well established at this point despite google not officially breaking out the numbers.

I couldn't tell which one he was.

Idiot, do you not know the difference between revenue and profit? The 1.96 billion is how much revenue YouTube takes, after paying off 65% of it to parners. It does NOT include the costs of actually running the thing which is what you would need to calculate profit. And YouTube still has lots of ground to make up before it will ever turn a profit.

This also gives him a WC qualifer.

Yes, that was Leslie who took the lead at 400 to go.
They're training partners and probably switched bibs on accident.

I'm afraid it's you who is the "idiot". The numbers to support youtube are way less than 1.96b, Youtube has been profitable since sometime in 2012. And 2014 is off to a rocket start blowing away 2013's numbers. Why don't you try posting anything defending your statement, you will fail because there is nothing since around 2011. You are obviously not an analyst or anyone in a similar business. Stick to what you know, which apparently isn't much.

I really hope that German succeeds in staying healthy for a few years.
It amazes me that he has kept at it this long. I don't think that he has had a long run of solid health since his achilles injury at NCAA XC his freshman year - what, maybe 6 years ago. It is hard to stay motivated for so long with constant setbacks.
Best of luck to Mr. Fernandez.
+1. It's got to be so hard to persevere after so many setbacks. He's so talented; I'd love to see him achieve more of his potential.
If 3:38 for Wheating counts as being "back" (according to him at least) then it certainly counts for Fernandez.
Is that Matt Elliot again in the back of another field? Seriously what happened to this dude after last years awesome year? Hurt? Change coaches? I saw a big article I think in one of the jogging magazines about how hard he works supposedly with teaching and running. But all that "work" for a 3:45 in Europe? Did he even run USA's? Maybe he should quit his day job and join a real group.
I think the fact that he outkicked 2 guys right at the end indicates that he's got the competitive fire.
Lots of guys would be like, "well, I'm toward the back and slower than my PR, I guess I'll just cruise it in."
German fighting hard for every place is a good sign
What place was German in the first few laps?
