Good point, if Shelby's fastest E.T. based on USTAF standards was the 800, why didn't she run it at PAC 12 and NCAA. It may have been a coaching decision for maximizing point scoring at the PAC 12 meet. 800 is a difficult race to double because of the event scheduling and recovery time between events. She probably chose the 1500 at NCAA, because of winning the PAC 12 and probably determined she had the best chance to win the 1500 title. Roessler has established herself as the top collegiate 800 meter runner and Shelby would of had to run her best race to beat her. Well, we get to watch them race today.
