Let's not get carried away here. If this is "smart" cheating then only so in the most lenient use of the term such as how her fast splits are "fast".

I looks like a situation of "you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours." Or, more specifically, "you pay me money, I'll post whatever time you want."
Looks like she's making a nice dollar on the sponsor front too, and you can even donate money to her no questions asked (bottom right of front page), do idiots really do that?

Haha for Badwater, bit ironic.
I just virtually BQ'd!! wrote:

There is no way these courses are certified??? She actually has turn around marks at 3.1, 3.28, and 3.34?? And folks know which turn around they're turning at. For a gal who "gets lost stepping off the trail for a poo problem" and accidentally cuts off 5 miles at RR on the 4th loop... I bet it's pretty hard for her to remember which of the three turn arounds to use on her 8th loop for the marathon....
Congrats on your BQ by the way. Personally, I see no reason to aim so low... this is LRC, and I'm feeling speedy. I think I'm gonna punch my ticket for Olympic Trials tomorrow. It will be a hard run seeing as its so hot outside right now, but I'm virtually sure I can do it.
Woah! Has PM been DQ'd from a race?
I had to clear my cache after the Nginx letsrun thing so I got lost on this thread.
I think this thread posted yesterday sums up this whole PM scandal.

I feel bad for the poor restaurant... they probably gave her a free meal or something, and have no clue what this gal is about... the rest of these folks though, we need to let them know they may want to reconsider their sponsorship next year, as well as review their contracts for any language that would let them reclaim money due to false statements of accomplishments.
She disabled this video on her website so I wanted to make sure everyone saw how fit this woman is to compete Badwater, the worlds toughest !!
0:22 seconds in. Joke. Nice form btw.
Form dont matter when you got a van.
Hah "going the distance " yeah like going 80 percent of the distance. she rides vans or cuts courses. Lame!

The flabbyness of the legs stands out to me.
She reminds me of those fake combat decorated veterans. They tell everyone they know about all their exploits and awards. They can not wait to tell their story. Brag. Brag. Brag. But its all false.

80% of Badwater is like 100 miles in the desert. Why cheat? If you're going to go 100 miles, might as well go 135, right?
She may not run the whole race, but she does run a long long way. I don't get these criticisms about her being too fat to be a runner. She puts in a whole lot more miles than I do.
To be clear, it sure looks like she cheats, but it's not like she doesn't run at all.

I agree! Once you cover a certain distance it's really just as good as doing the whole thing. That's why I routinely skip a couple miles in every marathon I do. As long as I get over 20 miles in, it's all just rounding error, so why bother actually running the entire race distance?
Same goes for the 400 meter repeats I do. I simply hightail it across the high jump pit area when I'm getting tired. It's definitely more than 300 meters total so I still am running a pretty good chunk of the workout.
Good call Steve wrote:

That's basically the opposite of what I was saying.
To clarify, she ran in the video. She walks her races. There is no running, period. Look at the video and you can certainly tell very quickly she is not a runner and us extremely uncomfortable running. 6-7 hour marathons is walking. Thank you.
Steve, crickets...............

Hey...With that attitude You are a perfect candidate to enter one of her "races"!
Good luck loser!

You can't be half pregnant. You can train and run just for fitness, or fun (or whatever). You can train to run races. But if you enter a race and Cheat, you are a despicable loser and an embarrassment to the running community. Just because she runs/walks a lot of miles, does not give her ANY leeway for cheating. Because of her self promotion based on her fake accomplishments She does not get any leeway regarding running what-so-ever.
She is an embarrassment to the running community.

Yes! That's exactly my point.
Why does she bother with all the travel and crew and actually running or walking a lot of the race if she's just going to cheat? If you cheat, it's the same as running zero miles. Seems so pointless to go to Badwater and kill yourself for a couple days and then cheat. There's no shame in dropping out or finishing after 48 hours if you made a good attempt at it. Makes much more sense than cheating.
Why are y'all jumping on me when you agree with me?
