Ah, Let'sRun. Where we criticize people's intelligence when we can no longer criticize their speed or performance.
It's hard not to prefer the Stanford grad over the Oregon dropout.

How are guys dropping off this? Don't you have to run 28 minutes to qualify?
If they ran the last thirteen laps at 60 per lap, they would still finish 20 seconds slower than Rupp ran at the Pre meet.
I don't believe anyone was comparing Derrick's intellect to Rupp's.
14:40? @ 5k
Derrick way too early. He's not gonna make a run from this far out. Hahaha

Announcer claims that Rupp is "almost lit-trilly jogging" at 70 seconds a lap. Right, you blithering gasbag, WR "marath'n" pace is poking along at a YMCA fitness jogger's clip. SHUT UP!
70 second pace is jogging by the announcer's standards.

No, it's hard not to prefer intelligent comments that aren't motivated by hate, cynicism and envy.
the announcer is surprised derrick is "going so soon"
hello... the race started 16 minutes ago
Alright, Derrick took over a little before the 4 mile mark I predicted.

Rupp is going to destroy these guys the final lap.

Actually I'm finding it astonishingly easy.
Derrick 17:24 at 6K. Rupp about 4th and almost lit-trally running about his 15K to 10M race pace.
Who is the short bearded guy hanging up there?
announcer says it's almost more tiring to run slow
but... recommends not running any faster...

Hmm, predict how many meters he'll blast away from Derrick in the last lap
over/under is 30 meters

No, the qualifying standard became irrelevant when they needed to fill the field. Everybody who entered and declared was accepted.
Same for the 5000m.
