what do I have wrong?
How can you reading be that bad? Read my post again. You have to be joking.
Although, I didn't say anything about Kara. I have never really followed her career so I don't know anything about her time with NOP.
I've read your posts too and he addressed your points.
Maybe you should reread your posts.
Maybe YOU should just drop it. This thread isn't about whatever nonsense you're arguing about.

Your opinion is pretty much worthless. The NOP has a horrible record for success (when it comes to improving times).
If she joins NOP, Salazar will set up a time trial within a short time (a la Ritz/Cain/Hasay) of her joining and then will claim all the credit for the improvement in PR (when in actuality, she will set a bunch of PRs because she hasn't runs time trial in a long time).
Where are Puskedra, Erdmann, and Ritz? Why can't Centrowitz break 3:50 yet? The only person who Salazar has shown great progress with is Rupp... and that took 10+ years!
why are your posts always so hostile?
Ritz is no longer with the group and moved to Michigan. ran 2:07 in the marathon recently
Centrowitz ran 3:31.06 over 1500m, equivalent to 3:48.92 in the mile. 4th in the OG & silver at the WC isn't too bad either.
Puskedra has been doing road races and is probably gearing up for a fall marathon.
Erdmann is training in arizona, possibly has an injury. qualified for the WC team but didn't have the standard.
Others who have set personal bests under Salazar and aren't rupp:
Rowbury - set the american 2 mile record less than a month ago
Jordan Hasay - personal bests over 3000m, 2 miles, 5000m (yesterday), 10,000m outdoors and 1500m, mile, 3000m, 2 miles indoors
Cam Levins
Mo Farah

Then maybe YOU shouldn't have further derailed it by posting on the subject.
It couldn't be further derailed. I tried to coax them into some sense. Guess that can't happen.
agip wrote:
you oughta stick with specifics and not write things like "The only person who Salazar has shown great progress with is Rupp"
How is that not a specific? I pointed out a specific runner and a specific outcome. It's quickly becoming evident that you don't know how to read.

No, he didn't address them. Everything he said in response I already mentioned or addressed. But neither of you seem to be able to see that.

Sorry for the hostility, but none of you seems able to read very well. Everything you're saying I've already addressed in my original or 2nd post.
Your line about Hasay is just dishonest. You're pretending those are 8 different events, but they are only 4.
Osksk...you're a moron.
By the way abbey to NB
I don't know... not a good sign that last race. I would be hesitant.
I wouldn't say that there's a 0 chance, because I know after Boston Terrier Cain mentioned something about how she wanted Abbey Dag's to join the group in a post race interview and Salazar was talking to her after the race
Beside that, Coogan has really developed her aerobic capacity which will peak in the next couple of years, but I actually think switching it up a little and transitioning to Salazar wouldn't be a half bad move...
1) he could help her w/ her kick
2) give her unlimited use the lastest Nike technology
3) get her into DL Races (like he has somehow been doing w/ Hasay)
4) Moser, Rowbury, Hasay, Cain, and Erdmann would be great training partners for her
5) and she would get more altitude training in compared to Coogan who doesn't do alititiude training (or at least w/ Ben True)
I think he could get her down to 14:55-15:00 in about 2 years or so
If we don't come up with a meaningful US Circuit soon there will not be any place to showcase USA runners nor a way for them to earn anything thing significantly more than a shoe store clerks wage.
Abbey D and B-Mart both on New Balance?
That's a ridiculous level of hotness right there. Damn.
Hi NotAustin18. Any chance of an update on your running? Any PBs lately? Still going ultra high volume?

I'd say there's zero percent chance she goes with NOP.
Correct.
She is WAY too smart for that.

Correct.
Who has enjoyed successful LONG TERM development under Salazar?
NOT A SINGLE ATHLETE OTHER THAN RUPP.
Great recruiter$ at NOP. Overrated coach.
Really?
You are naming Cam Levins as an example of Salazar's SUCCESS?
REALLY??
Oh, you're serious. The most stagnating of all the talented careers Salazar has stagnated. OK, maybe aside from Ritz. OK, maybe aside from Hasay. OK, maybe aside from Webb.
By mentioning Levins, you are supporting the argument that NOP are great recruiter$ with terrible coaching.
There are ZERO athletes showing impressive LONG TERM DEVELOPMENT under Salazar. (Other than Rupp.)
