And we continue to see that Russia will simply take as much of Ukraine as they feel like. There is no one in the world with both the ability and the will to stop them.

Could you be more out of touch? Putin backed down weeks ago. Obama and the European allies bitch slapped Putin but good.
Maybe we can get Putin to take care of Iraq. That'd be a "two birds with one stone" kind of thing.
Russia is acting in defense of its interests and aims to stop US imperialism before it reaches Russia's borders.
I understand the media portrays Russia as the aggressor but that is so clearly not the case.

US imperialism reaching Russia's borders? Could you be more uneducated about that area? You honestly sound like someone who reads conspiracy web sites and swallows their propaganda hook, line, and sinker. Learn to think for yourself, man!

What happened to the US promise not to extend NATO eastward after the Soviet Union came apart?
Have you forgotten the US invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan? Its support for the overthrow of the Syrian and Egyptian governments? It's threats to attack Iran?
How about the US backing for the violent overthrow of the Ukranian government? The tape of Victoria Nuland discussing who the US would install as head of the new Ukranian government?
On what "facts" cause you to share the same views as the mainstream media?

You are hopelessly out of touch. Invasion of Afghanistan? Are you so clueless as to not know Russia did this first? I could go on, but I'm obviously conversing with someone who gets their "facts" from some wacko blogger.
That's what I thought.
No facts. No logical arguments. No attempt to address any of the facts I raised. Just whines of conspiracy theories and ad hominem attacks. And a non-pertinent reference to Soviet War in Afghanistan that ended 30 years ago, ten years before the fall of the Soviet Union
agree with Tao of Steve here. What is often forgotten is that Europe tried to pressurize Janukowitsch into signing an associative agreement with the NATO (not binding member, but clearly the first step). Definitely a provocation towards Russia, which Janukowitsch did not want to go through with.
Next, Maidan protest (which did initially include only peaceful protesters against Janukowitsch corruptive Government) escalates by aid of US private forces which supported guns, and reportedly offered money to civilians in order to go protest on the street.
What Putin opposes is the illegal implementation of the election in February for a temporary Government in the Ukraine. Morevover, since then hundred thousands of Ukrainian with Russian roots fear to be exposed to even more discrimination (for example a law was recently passed that forbids teaching of Russian language).
Well, I also detest that Putin just walked into Krim and took it back, but we need to see both sides here are at fault. Anybody who does not understand that Ukraine is sandwiched between two super power blocks (west and Russia) and that eventually, because of the ongoing dependency of Europe for oil and gas imports, it will be the centre of strategic foreign policy by these two superpowers, does not understand much about world politics

You say he mentioned no facts, then you bring up a fact he mentioned.
The US?
Obama seems to want to punish this country for imagined sins or something. My late mother, God bless her, had this
guy pegged from Day one.
Cripes, we have an invasion on our Southern border even as I type this.

You thinking abilities need some work.
You assumed that I was calling for US action and that I should therefore be first in line to serve in combat.
You were wrong.
Try to work on your thinking abilities. I understand that with consistent sustained effort they can often be improved upon.

Not sure if that is an oh-so-clever troll attempt or you are just plain stupid.
Either way - Yay for you!
Well, he is right as anyone who's been paying attention knows.

I'd really like Russia to take Mongolia. The tension between them and China would be fun to watch.
