Have you talked to the CEO of Oiselle
As a matter of fact I have, she seemed like a nice woman. Pretty sharp.
Or you could talk to a few other shoe, watch, apparel companies to see what they can do.
Good idea, wonder if anyone else has thought of this.
People ran on cinder track in my day. Hayward field seems to fill stadiums more than most.
What's the point here? You want Hayward to have a cinder track? Ventolin v X would have a field day, no pun intended. He could bring out his calculator and compare Kiprop vs. Ryun and then call us idiots and morons and speak to us in jibberish terms using whacky logic.
Didn't they just run a DL meet at Hayward field. Could that be used for a world championship meet. Hell they may need to move the Rio Olympics to Hayward field.
Haywar seats about 15,000 tops, not nearly enough for a WC or Olympics. I guess they could retrofit Autzen stadium.
The fact that USATF is roughly half funded by a single company is a travesty and I would not buy shoes, watches or sports bras from any company that did not provide substantial funding to the USTAF.
What's the connection here? Not making sense.
Who was the major contributor to USA track and field in 1968 and how much did they provide in 2014 dollars .... I really don't know, do you have the data.
Very different world back then. For one it was the AAU. Not as much corporate influence in the 1960s. But it was run like a fiefdom by Avery Brundage.
Today, we have the greatest pro track runners, college runners and HS runners in the last few decades. So that seems to be going pretty well.
Still a lot of issues, success more a result of in spite of the leadership not because of it. Sprinters rife with drugs, Nike bought out USATF and using undue influence. These are not good trends.
DQ "Crisis", you have to be kidding me. One was a clear DQ made into a crisis, the other was a big mistake that should have been cleared up right away, but a "crisis" I don't think so.
It's a crisis to Bumbalough for sure, and it was a pretty blatant example of influence peddling and bullying by Salazar and Nike.
So If you are a rich guy, I hope you are subscribing to all of the sites that provide video coverage and content, because that will help.
Not a rich guy, so this is not relevant.
you have synthetic tracks, running message boards, running video live coverage web sites, live results, etc..etc. when you weren't a rich guy?
These things didn't become common until the 1990s.
